The course was impressive and the greens fast. My GPS watch came in handy because some of the tee box markers and sprinkler-distances seemed to conflict. Water was not too much of a factor, but sand, wash areas and bunkers definitely were. I would have expected the bunkers to be a bit softer than they were. The sand was not... More

Great course, great weather, friendly staff. Probably the best course I have ever played. I paid about $150 which I didn't think was bad considering the top 10 golf courses in Arizona were all priced around $250+. It wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be. I am an 80-85 golfer and I shot 84 the day I played.... More

I played the TPC Scottsdale Champion Course and do not understand some of the negative comments I have read about this course. We arrived for our tee time which was the first of the day (or so we thought - more on that) at 6:45. The staff was very professional helping load out clubs on the cart and quick check... More

This is a very nice course, but frankly there's nothing special about it. Its a nice track, in good shape, but it doesn't really have any holes that you'd put into the "memorable" category. Its very pricey - certainly more expensive than the majority of courses in the Phoenix area, and there are quite a few courses that are much... More

Made my t-time online and was quite shocked when the fellow in the pro shop quoted me a price 50% more than the website. This was immediately rectified, was charged the web price. Bag drop men were very professional and the starter could not have been nicer. This is one GREAT golf course fella's. If you're in the Scottsdale area,... More

Played in in late October 2013. Found staff very friendly and helpful. The clubhouse at the champions course was well layed out, Pro shop well stocked woth merchandise, restaurant was plain but lots of options. The course itself was very challenging. Played long from the tips. The greens were fast, large and undulating. Overall condition was outstanding. I would return... More

We stay at the Fairmont when vacationing in Scottsdale so I play this course ever time since its a two minute ride from the hotel. Even though the Stadium course runs along the back of the Fairmont Princess, Stadium and the Champions course are not affiliated with the Fairmont. The stadium course was closed for a complete make over and... More

This is a lovely and wide open course, it was fun to play they seem more pretentious about it than it is worth.

As you may have read on here and other sites, the Champions course does have some patchy greens that need some TLC. Nonetheless, it's a fantastic course, great tee boxes & fairways, and great service. In the fall, I bet the greens will be superb. We played about 9am in July, and got pretty hot towards the final few holes,... More

Service and reception, top notch. Got to play a relaxed round of golf with beautiful sunny weather and scenery. Take an early tee time to avoid crowed course and heat. Great selection at golf shop. All holes had distinct challenges and views. With a 7:30 am tee time, made it back for brunch with my significant other. Golfing partners were... More
