I'm from Texas but this place was absolutely incredible! This facility had everything a rustic lovers designer would want! It captured the essence of a little Ol time country with a hint of rustic. It was fun and to me romantic. There were several outdoor real wood campfires going with quaint little red lanterns for lighting through out the place.... More

Went for a private ride, try to do this on any vacation. Very friendly staff. Nice horses. Beautiful country, reasonably priced, they do give a cash discount too. Loved Amy

Good guides and a location in Northern Scottsdale that is very easy to get to. The reconstructed wild west town façade offers lots of photo ops. Unfortunately the desert is fairly flat here so the ride is basic but ok. Not a lot of animals but fairly interesting .

Great for kids of all ages, events all year round, pumpkin patches, horse riding, petting zoo, all other farm attractions. Parking is limited for larger events like pumpkin patch weekends, and Christmas tree time, weekdays are a bit lighter, but overall worth the trip.

The experience of riding these beautiful horses through the lovely desert landscape was great enough, but the people at the ranch made it even better. The owner helped us get started and was very kind and patient with my mother, who was a bit nervous. The guides gave us very interesting information throughout the ride. It was obvious that the... we met here for a group ride in December. the horses (most of them) were already saddled up which I understand is not good for horses. we got the feeling that they are not well treated and so this really put a damper on our time. the guide was silent most of the ride.. no interesting factoids about the ride,... I booked a horseback riding tour for several of my conference attendees with MacDonald's Ranch. The trail guides and ranchers were all amazing with my group. My riders varied in ability and everyone was matched up with a horse for their riding ability. The horses are all well trained. I had several people who road for the very first time... More

My daughter, granddaughter and myself went on a moonlight ride last New Years Eve. We had never been on a horseback ride, at first we felt like fish out of water, however, the staff made us feel so welcome, eased our fears, and the ride was wonderful, a great experience we will not forget. Hopefully, we can do it again... More

My husband and I were in a small, 6-person group on a 2-hour trail ride with wrangler John. They matched up rider skill/experience levels with appropriate horses and helped us mount from mounting blocks. Off we went into the dusty, high desert acreage owned by the family that owns & operates the stable. The horses were very well behaved, I... More
