Art is expensive but looking at it is free. There are some wonderful pieces among the tourista stuff and the high end stores are different and for the most part...elegant and tasteful. Artwalk did not happen the Thursday in July we were there but I have been before. Do NOT miss it. Summer =off season.

The jewelry stores in Old Town Scottsdale are awesome in the summer. We found so many beautiful pieces of jewelry at bargain prices we wish we could have bought more of them, but we did find a couple of bracelets we loved. I had bought a nice men's ring in South Dakota last year that had two pieces of turquoise... More

Many think that the Main street galleries are all about cowboy art. Nothing could be more far from the truth, sure there is plenty of desert stuff (to include RC Gorman) but there is lots of contemporary art also. Thursday nights in the fall spring and winter see Art walk where the galleries stay open late and serve wine and... More

The arts district in Scottsdale is one of the best, most extensive collection of art shops and galleries that I have ever visited. I had been here in 2000 and was pleasantly surprised to find that the selection, variety and quality had not diminished from what I remembered. There is art for every taste, from old Western to modern, from... More

Beautiful Art Musems and Shops all over filled with class and even some contemporary or modern we found. Nice to do in evenings during the summer or late afternoons in the winter.

If you don't expect much you won't be disappointed. There are a very few exceptional shops selling exceptionally wrought creations, but not many. Most are way too touristy. Go to Santa Fe. Or Albuquerque.

We've been coming to Scottsdale for 25 years and it was sad to see the Old Town in decline. That changed a few years ago and now, its looking good and has some wonderful shops. well done and keep it going.
