Shops in this area are diverse enough to appeal to art lovers of all kinds, and the price range is equally diverse. We enjoy looking at good quality paintings, bronzes and designer jewelry. Easily walkable, and bordering Old Town, this is a nice place to spend a few hours, then enjoy a meal at one of the nearby restaurants.

I understand that I was visiting during the quiet season, so the art galleries were not very busy allowing for conversations with the staff/owners. They were friendly and engaging. There is a concentration of Native American and Western Art with some contemporary and historic pieces mixed in.

I really enjoyed the art galleries. I did the art walk on Thurs night. Would have been better if it went until 1000 pm. You are busy during the day so this is really nice to have these open during the evening. Lots more than southwestern art. I was very glad you had more than southwestern art as I live... More

Gallery after gallery of sometimes beautiful, sometimes zany art. Surrounded by restaurants and the feel of Old Town Scottsdale. A fun afternoon walking experience.

Husband and I have gone a few times to visit the many galleries. The hosts are always gracious, even if sometimes overbearing lol. We always have fun even though we're not art afficionados.

The best galleries in town along with a few other stores and restaurant mixed in. Always great art and I don't miss it when in town

The Scottsdale Arts District is the largest collection of art galleries in Arizona, a state noted for fine arts in such other locations as Sedona and Tubac. But the Scottsdale Arts District is the largest and most eclectic. Once it featured primarily western art, and that is still a strong focus. But today you can find contemporary and international art... More

Within three books there are several dozen art galleries, ranging from some touristic staff to the top of the line painting and sculptures. Some were closed but enough were open to provide an overview of mostly western art. Not as pretty and the quality of Canyon Road in Santa Fe, still a great way to spend a couple of hours.

We love walking around Old Town, visiting galleries, shopping and have a glass of wine nearby. The Parada del Sol is also a particularly nice time to take in the festivities and revelry.

Although a lot of the art was western in nature, there was a mix of pretty much everything, from the very expensive to knick-knack/souvenir type stuff. It's well worth wandering around just to look.
