This easy to walk arts district area has plenty of western art, contemporary and modern art as well as jewelry. This is a good place for a casual after meal walk or a serious hunting spot for something unique to bring home.

Good few blocks for a stroll, especially if you like art. Lots of galleries, variety of art but emphasis on western art. Worth a visit if you like art.

Nice area. The art here is questionable, and a lot of the pieces are garbage. But it is fun to walk around on a nice day and explore the different areas of the town. I would recommend, but nothing revolutionary here.

Attended the bustling Thursday night Art Walk. Galleries offered diverse collection of art exhibits and some refreshments. Good street musicians. Well lit and clean streets and stores.

The Main Street Arts District features a variety of galleries with an emphasis, not surprisingly, on western art. But you'll find a little of everything. Seasonal Thursday night Art Walks are fun. Combine your visit with neighbor Old Town Scottsdale.

Not a lot to add but this is a great area to stroll around at night. Even with the galleries closed, the street lighting and illuminated art pieces in the windows makes a great meandering art walk. And of course there's some neat restaurants in this area so wandering before or after dinner makes for a nice evening.

Scottsdale is becoming the Santa Fe along with Sedona a 2-hour drive to the north of Arizona. Here is unusual southwest art, art galleries and interesting shops.

This is the place to shop for art with dozens of art galleries on one street, Two blocks of galleries lining both sides of the street. Free parking everywhere although most limited to 3 hours. The most variety of fine art west of NYC. Special mention about the May Gallery and Legacy Fine Art. They share a common lobby, but... More

Just fun general tourism strolling about the arts district (about 100 galleries) in Old Town Scottsdale. You might happen on a couple of galleries that carry big names like Picasso, Dali, etc. the Gallery Assoc. points out to tourists, "ArtWalks are free to the public every Thursday evening from 7pm-9 pm along Main Street from Scottsdale Rd. west to Goldwater... I love the Scottsdale Art District and I've visited the galleries with family and friends many times. The artwork is beautiful but with the exception of events for various artists etc. it's pretty quiet. We are almost always the only people there. Granted, I've only gone on weekends and maybe it is busier at other times during the week. Often... More
