If your thing is race cars (old and new) then you will love this place. Roger Penske has quite a collection from his Indy days to road racers. Even walking around the car dealership which it's located on isn't a bad thing, especially if you have the checkbook to buy. :)

We had some friends in from out of town last weekend and the men wanted to do something more man like so we went to the Penske Museum. Great choice! Small but beautifully laid out. We all Enjoyed the outing.

My husband wanted to stop in to check out the museum on a recent trip to the Phoenix area. We plugged the address in GPS, but it's a little difficult to actually locate! The museum actually sits in the center of a very large car dealership, so you can easily miss it. The museum itself is quite small, so only... More

If you're a racing fan, you need to pay this museum a visit. It only takes about 30 minutes to go through it - and it's free! Photos are allowed, and each car has a placard with the history of the car as well as engine specs, etc. And I agree with the other raters, the luxury cars in the... More

Look for the Ferrari dealership. They are co-located. About 30 historically important Indy and Nascars plus trophies etc. Free admission. Has a small cafe inside.

Great to see so many winning cars in one place, there could have been a bit more 'people' stories around the cars but a great free exhibit none the less. As others have said it was nice to window shop exotic cars at the same time, it's location next to high end dealerships is just great. Rob

The race cars were interesting, but the cars in the dealership surrounding the museum were the the most interesting.

It is not really a racing history museum, but it is what the name indicates - Penske racing museum. There are some key cars at key moments in various venues, and it will not take long to go through it. The coolest thing was the location among every high end car dealership you can imagine. So, walking around and seeing... More

When we lived in the Midwest, we went to the Indy 500 for years so we couldn't wait to see this museum. What a wonderful way to spend an hour! It is not large; hence the 4 stars instead of five but it is so much fun to visit. It was fun to see some of the cars that won... More
