This is a great place for family outdoor activity, it is not too challenging and can provide beautiful views of the neighborhoods below, that is why it is closed on major holidays. It is a good place for bouldering, just keep track of the time as you will be fined if you are there after closing time.

Good hiking with moderate elevations. Scenic view of Scottsdale and surrounding golf courses. Water is available and many places to stop for a rest along the hiking path. It is not a loop so you return the way you ascended,

Wednesday in December, took this mile and a half hike as it zig-zagged up one side of the Pinnacle Peak and did the same down the back side. Lots of photographic opportunities of rock formations and local fauna. Fairly easy hike, although the hardest part was probably hiking back up from the end of the trail, back to the top... More

Pinnacle Peak Park is a great place for easy access and a great quick hike for an excellent workout. Loaded with Chuckwall lizards in the Spring. Very scenic.

This was my first time in Arizona and this was the perfect first place to hike. The hike along the trail is not very difficult since it goes up in a diagonal pattern instead of more straight up. There were so many huge, amazing Saguaro cactus plus so many other type of cacti a Northerner has never seen! Also beautiful... More

If you want a very nice hike, not too hard but certainly not to be characterized as easy, this is it. It took my husband and I a total of four hours as we took a break halfway and just looked out at the glorious landscape ; (it overlooks a beautiful golf course and some really amazing houses, not to... I took my 6yo hiking to Pinnacle Peak, we are not typically hikers, just on vacation. This location is a perfect fit for novice and experienced hikers. Beautiful views, well defined trail limiting my safety concerns.

I lived by hear for the longest time and loved hiking and seeing all the great views of the city. Very natural and a great distance, not to long and not to short for a beginner hiker. the incline is not to bad either. The only downside is that it can be really busy when the weather is nice. Everyone... More

Had a wonderful and great workout from climbing up and down and around the pinnacle peak area. Other hikers were very courteous whether one goes fast or slow. Just be aware -- no pets. And much too tough for people with bad knees!

I hadn't been here in over 20 years but not much has changed. Popular hiking right in Scottsdale and easy enough for children. You used to be able to climb to the very top, but the trail doesn't go up any more and its fenced off. This is NOT a loop trail. Its 1 3/4 miles to the end and... More
