Tom Weiskopf followed his success with the Monument Course by designing the Pinnacle Course in 1996. As a result of the 2007 renovation, the Pinnacle Course now provides a more links-style feel, with a continuous layout that returns to the clubhouse after the 18th hole. Designed to follow the sharp elevation changes of the land, the course offers spectacular views of the surrounding cities and mountains.

If you think you can play, play it from the tips. It's awesome but really tough. Primarily because its really tight from the back tee and you have to bomb it. The greens are tricky too and although you will manage some run out on the hard fairways you will have undulating lies and usually some carry over hazards and... More

The pinnacle course is a fantastic all around golf course. It doesn't have the commanding high elevation as some courses in the area, but it doesn't need it. The blend of the desert and the large boulders are a great accompaniment to a wonderful design and layout. All 18 holes are in the valley and sweep through the desert as... More

Troon North (Pinnacle) is one of the finest desert golf courses in Arizona. Beautiful views, great arrangement of holes and helpful friendly staff. The foursome ahead of us was a little slow and without asking the course marshal, he took it upon himself to hurry them up. High recommend this course!

I am not sure about the bad review below. Every tee box on pinnacle and every green was immaculate. We had bad then good weather thruout the day. Course held up nicely. The course played tough all day. It is truly target golf, but the way they carved out the course is incredible. Will play there again everytime. Only downside... More

I have been looking forward to playing Troon for years and I can't explain how disappointed I was in the condition of the course from the very first hole. Being September, the season hasn't started and perhaps they will be overseeding soon but I played 126 holes of golf in past several days all around Troon and the other courses... More

Thanks for the review. We appreciate all feedback, positive and negative. We are very sorry to hear the conditions of the course did not meet your expectations. We strive for a very high standard of conditions and unfortunately due temperatures and varying weather conditions throughout the summer, the Monument course front 9 suffered as a result. That is no excuse,... More

We have played at Troon North twice during our stay. The Pinnacle is much more difficult than the Monument. The layout is nicer but the green are very protected and you have to be precise. We really enjoy our round. You must be experimented to play there. Excellent service from the staff

A friend and I played here last week. This course plays longer than some Troon courses in the valley but fairways are wide enough to be a fair test. The greens were in great shape too! I've lived in Phoenix for a year and a half and have played several other Troon courses, this was the most difficult but is... More

Another great course, sister to the Monument. Here is the difference: a bit narrower and target, but not much. Scenic, but maybe a bit less. i am getting picky. I saw high tension wires from several tee boxes in the distance. Course in perfect shape. Greens do not break much at all so just go right at the pin 95%... More

This was the second course of a 36 hole day. I have to admit that I wasn't too excited on playing the second course but it was fun. Wider landing areas than the Monument course allowed us to spray the ball a bit more. Greens were true and slightly fast. Will be back.
