Description: Desert Wolf Tours is Scottsdale's #1 Ranked desert off-road and firearms...
Desert Wolf Tours is Scottsdale's #1 Ranked desert off-road and firearms Adventure! Better yet, we were named THE BEST OFF-PREMISES EXCURSION IN THE WORLD by TravelGolf! At Desert Wolf Tours, YOU get to drive an authentic military-grade TomCar UTV. A Tomcar is smooth, fast, maneuverable and drives like no other off-road vehicle. Even if you've driven consumer grade UTVs and ATVs made by Polaris, Kawasaki, Yamaha, etc., you've never driven a military-grade UTV! They glide over the rocky terrain, leaving all others in the dust!! (We actually use these same vehicles that you will be driving in Arizona Search and Rescue missions.) As Arizona's foremost self-drive tour outfit, Desert Wolf Tours provides unique tours to proprietary attractions that no other company offers. Because we're family owned, and local to Arizona, we don't believe in cookie-cutter experiences...we have several offerings for families, couples, the more adventurous, group, and corporate guests. And because we're so near to most Scottsdale/Phoenix resorts, you'll be able to spend more time in the desert and less time in somebody else's van. We use the world's most comfortable off-road vehicles, have the best Adventure Guides and NRA Certified Firearms Instructors, and play in the most interesting terrain. With access to hundreds of thousands of acres of Desert Wilderness just North of Phoenix full of Indian ruins, ghost towns, mines, river crossings and gorgeous vistas, our guests leave our tours exhilarated, and knowledgeable. Find out more about our day tours, night tours, Amazing Race Adventures, and unique firearms experiences including our Top Guns Adventure, the Bucket List and our customized Top Shot Competitions. You'll have a Great Time! NOTE - ALL OF OUR DESERT OFF-ROAD TOURS LEAVE FROM THE WORLD FAMOUS ROADRUNNER RESTAURANT AND SALOON, JUST A FEW MILES NORTH OF PHOENIX ON I-17.

We took a morning tour with our two children, 35 months and age 7. They both loved it! I felt that the Tomcar was very secure for our daughter. The cars were incredibly stable, and more comfortable to ride in than our 4x4 truck is off road! Tom was our guide, and was very knowledgeable about the desert, flora and... More

This was so much fun! It was a beautiful drive through the desert and we learned about different plants and animals that live in the desert. We even saw a Gila monster! The cars were easy to drive and my 10 year old son loved the adventure. This was a great addition to our phoenix vacation.

My wife and I went out on the tour today. It was a great experience. I'm glad my wife brought wet-wipes because we were dirty afterwards. The tour was a great way to see the desert, the mountain ranges, and plants we just don't see where we live in Florida. My only recommendation would be to also bring hand sanitizer,... More

We had a great but dusty and warm trip out into the desert. Almost at full bloom, the desert can't be appreciated from the front seat of your car, but you can from the seat of a TomCar. Great tour guide but of 7 cars on the trip, 2 broke down causing a change in the trip and 1 car... More

Thanks for your great review. I am very sorry that the trail issues caused you to not have a 5 Star experience. That is always a tough one for us to address. Our off-road tours are geared toward allowing guests to drive on the rugged trails. On a 7 car tour like yours, that means there are 28 potential drivers.... More

This was an awesome experience. The whole family was in town for a family reunion and we were looking for something fun to do. I was a little hesitant because in the middle of August it is certainly HOT out in the desert but honestly the heat really didn't bother me since the cars are covered. 4 of us went... More

We had a terrific experience driving the tomcats around the desert with our guides, Kevin and Tom. Kevin gave great instructions before leaving during the 3 hour tour. It had rained earlier in the week, so the dust level was good. Riding across the rocks was fun, and splashing through the puddles was even more fun. People need to pay... More

Epic adventure in the Sonoran Desert. We were Tomcar #2 (Echo) in a caravan of three, led by Ryan. He is a first rate guide. We learned a ton about cacti, we even tasted an edible variety after burning off the spines. We also saw a Gila monster. What an amazing find and cool experience! What age is too young... More

We took the three hour tom car tour and it was a blast. Our group of four had our own tom car and given that there were four stops everyone had the opportunity to drive. Extremely friendly tour guides explained things and took all necessary steps to ensure safety without being condescending. They also understood that people really wanted to... More

Six stars for our guide, Kevin Booth. He gave explicit directions before departing and throughout the 3 hour trip. He was a wealth of information. The ride was a blast, the scenery spectacular, and the stop at the Indian fort adventuresome. Bandanas to cover your face are provided as well as cold bottled water. I would highly recommend this tour... More
