Description: Desert Wolf Tours is Scottsdale's #1 Ranked desert off-road and firearms...
Desert Wolf Tours is Scottsdale's #1 Ranked desert off-road and firearms Adventure! Better yet, we were named THE BEST OFF-PREMISES EXCURSION IN THE WORLD by TravelGolf! At Desert Wolf Tours, YOU get to drive an authentic military-grade TomCar UTV. A Tomcar is smooth, fast, maneuverable and drives like no other off-road vehicle. Even if you've driven consumer grade UTVs and ATVs made by Polaris, Kawasaki, Yamaha, etc., you've never driven a military-grade UTV! They glide over the rocky terrain, leaving all others in the dust!! (We actually use these same vehicles that you will be driving in Arizona Search and Rescue missions.) As Arizona's foremost self-drive tour outfit, Desert Wolf Tours provides unique tours to proprietary attractions that no other company offers. Because we're family owned, and local to Arizona, we don't believe in cookie-cutter experiences...we have several offerings for families, couples, the more adventurous, group, and corporate guests. And because we're so near to most Scottsdale/Phoenix resorts, you'll be able to spend more time in the desert and less time in somebody else's van. We use the world's most comfortable off-road vehicles, have the best Adventure Guides and NRA Certified Firearms Instructors, and play in the most interesting terrain. With access to hundreds of thousands of acres of Desert Wilderness just North of Phoenix full of Indian ruins, ghost towns, mines, river crossings and gorgeous vistas, our guests leave our tours exhilarated, and knowledgeable. Find out more about our day tours, night tours, Amazing Race Adventures, and unique firearms experiences including our Top Guns Adventure, the Bucket List and our customized Top Shot Competitions. You'll have a Great Time! NOTE - ALL OF OUR DESERT OFF-ROAD TOURS LEAVE FROM THE WORLD FAMOUS ROADRUNNER RESTAURANT AND SALOON, JUST A FEW MILES NORTH OF PHOENIX ON I-17.

First let me say that I am a travel reviewer from way back and spend most of my adventures capturing shots and memories just for my reviews, so in the first 45 minutes, I could hardly wait to go back and fill out my 5 star review. I am marking this one as Average just because I struggle to tag... More

We loved the ride and would recommend going out with Ryan. He is engaging, knowledgable and interacts with all the participants from the time you arrive until the leaf blower at the end. The driving is super fun and desert scenery makes for good photos when you stop. Worth the drive out to New River!

We took the PM tour into the desert. Ryan was the guide, and he was fantastic! He was knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and was always concerned with our safety. Loved the survival tips and getting to taste different cacti. Would definitely do it again if we could have Ryan as our guide.

What fun!! We had a blast...such a great way to see the desert, learn about the plants and animals and just have some good old dust flying fun! ;o) Our guide, Kevin was excellent and knew his stuff. He continuously made sure we were all safe and well hydrated. If you are ever in the Phoenix area...take the time to... More

This TomCar adventure through the Sonoran Desert is a one of a kind trip. Our guide Ryan was awesome and very knowledgeable about the desert plants and animals and even taught us some survival skills. He was energetic and fun. We even got to eat two different types of Cactus! Our group of four could not have found a better... More

We had a blast tearing around the desert in the Tom Cars. We felt like we were in a Mad Max movie in these unbelievably rugged machines. And it wasn't all adrenaline inducing fun, there was also an educational component that made the tour doubly enjoyable. Our guide, Ryan, is extremely knowledgeable about the desert and how to survive out... More

What a great and dusty ride! We were able to visit over spring break with our kids ages 10 and 14 and even though they could not drive they loved it! Our guide (Ryan I think) took time to explain the types and names of the plants in the desert and let all of us try a piece of one!... More

Took the morning tour in a group of five. Two of us were in one vehicle, and three in the other. Got off to a slightly late start due to an employee calling in sick, but everything went well after that. Good opportunity to see a lot of desert landscape up close and personal, and to learn a little bit... More

We took a morning tour with our two children, 35 months and age 7. They both loved it! I felt that the Tomcar was very secure for our daughter. The cars were incredibly stable, and more comfortable to ride in than our 4x4 truck is off road! Tom was our guide, and was very knowledgeable about the desert, flora and... More

This was so much fun! It was a beautiful drive through the desert and we learned about different plants and animals that live in the desert. We even saw a Gila monster! The cars were easy to drive and my 10 year old son loved the adventure. This was a great addition to our phoenix vacation.
