My sister-in-law and I booked the 2 hour trail ride with Cave Creek with our 10 year old daughters. Reservations were easy to make and the person on the phone was very pleasant and informative. Directions to their place were easy, and they would have picked us up at the resort if we needed. The restrooms on site were clean... More

Hadn't ridden for years, so was a little apprehensive about getting on a horse again but Greggar was the best wrangler ever! he helped ease the anxieties for me and the others in my group and made our ride fun and very informative - don't get stuck in the back of the pack, unless you are ready to be "bait!"... My wife and I visited the Scottsdale AZ area and wanted to make it a point to get out in the desert to do some horseback riding. Our hotel (Sheraton Desert Oasis) recommended the Cave Creek Outfitters. We did the 2 hour ride with Mike as our guide. Mike did a great job and was very knowledgeable of the desert... More

I love horseback riding when on vacation. This was a great ride in the Sonoran desert and very educational. Learned about the Indian nations in the area. Also learned about vegetation and wildlife. The horses were well trained and in great condition. A funny thing was the "outhouse". It was actually a very nice facility and ironically the toilet paper... More

We decided to go horseback riding in Scottsdale, even though I ride once every 15 years. we read about Cave Creek on trip advisor, so we called and they picked us up at hotel - extra $10 pp but worth it. Our two hour ride through desert was excellent. About 10 customers along with two attentive staff made for a... More

A few months ago when my wife and I were planning our trip to Scottsdale we knew we wanted to go horseback riding as it's not something we can do at home and we wanted to ride through the desert. Now it had been almost 35 years since I had been on a horse (my wife went more recently) so... More

Went for an hour long trail ride last week with 2 of my good friends. Ryan took us out. It was exactly as we expected...fun! Be careful to not choose Cave Creek Trailrides when mapping your directions. We ran a little late because of this mistake on our part. Ryan was super cool about us being a few minutes late.... More

We chose this place based on reviews here and were not disappointed. We booked a 2 hour ride and we were the only ones on it. Jeff was our guide, Joe and Annie were our horses. We were impressed when we drove up - very easy to find based on clear directions. There were many horses prepped for the day... More

We had a great 2 hour ride on a Sunday morning after a few days of showers, so the desert was alive with blooming cactus and wildlife was very active. I'm sorry I can't remember our wrangler's name, but he was very thorough in explaining the plants and animals we were seeing on the ride. This was our first trip... More

This was a 1 hour ride with John. John did a fantastic job with the group. We had some initial nervousness from my 8 year old. It was a great ride, appropriate for the skill level of the riders. The horses were well behaved. John was good highlighting the flora and fauna. Overall we were very happy.
