Had an awesome day rafting the Colorado River! The guide was very knowledgeable and made everyone feel like part of the team. I have a gluten allergy and to my surprise was able to eat 95% of the lunch provided. Would love to go on more than a one day trip and I will definitely be going with Wilderness Aware.

Boyscout crew 211 had 30 scout and scouters went rafting with Wilderness Aware. All with various levels of expertise and none of them had any complaints. Lunch was AWESOME. The side hike was a great way to stetch our legs and guides were absolutly the best. We plan on coming back in the near future for a three day ride.... More

Was very excited to raft the Upper Salt - a notable contrast to the tame float on the Lower Salt. The trip delivered completely! Scenery was exceptional, guides were easy-going, professional and supremely knowledgeable. Their understanding of the geology of the region is only second to their rafting expertise. Several options available from single day trip to overnights, we chose... More

I have done several trips with Wilderness Aware over the past two years, and I am more than pleased with my adventures!! I have been to the Buena Vista location down the Arkansas River as well as a couple of AZ trips as I reside in AZ. I have no complaints. Service is great, guides are wonderful, as is the... More

Just a great day!! The guide was top notch. READ THE LITERATURE--this is not Disney--it's a bit like roughing it but you will not be disappointed...just preparing you for what to expect (port a potties; can be cold; wear some type of footwear and be prepared to paddle & participate). Went with my 14 year old son. Clean, safe, gorgeous... More

On a short visit to Phoenix, my son and I went on a half day rafting trip. It was a beautiful drive to the location, and the rafting trip was fun and relaxing with a couple of thrills. The stop for lunch was refreshing and the meal was delicious. It was the last trip of the season so the water... More

We initially purchased a half day raft, however we had such a wonderful time it stayed for the whole day!!!! The instructors (main folks who guided us) were personable and a good time for everyone in our raft (age ranged from grammar school to 60+). I will be booking another trip this March cannot wait!

Myself and a group a friends did the overnight trip which I would highly recommend last spring. The food was good, sights stunning, and the guides awesome! Although we didn't quite make the trip without flipping the boat, its well worth you time and money.

My two sons and I rafted the Salt River with Wilderness Aware in early April, 2013. Everything about the trip worked and Wilderness Aware made it happen. The equipment - top notch, in great condition. The guides - friendly, knowledgeable, enjoyable to be around for three days. And the most important creature comfort - The FOOD! Fantastic meals, made all... More

We took our three teenagers with us on the 1/2 day Salt River tour. The guides were extremely personable and knowledgeable about the river and the surrounding topography. My children are not super adventurous, but they had a great time. Just enough white water to be exciting, but not too scary. We all enjoyed the trip! Next time we'll do... More

Glad to hear you had a great trip! The Salt is great for first timers and experienced rafters alike. You experienced the river at a moderate flow in 2013. It can be much bigger in a year with more snow melt. Often folks that do the short 1/2 day trip extend their day at the last minute to a full... More
