This was our second time rafting with Wilderness Aware. This time was equally as wonderful as our tour of the Arkansas river in Colorado. The river was low and at first I thought that was a bad thing but when we gotto the end and surfed the class 4 rapid for several minutes we were all hooting and hollering.

My wife and oldest daughter were a little apprehensive before we arrived, but from the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel very welcome! Tom, our guide was very informational and made sure we had a great time. We look for companies to do business with based on Trip Advisor customer feedback, and so glad we chose Arizona wilderness... Just back in Chicago from a great rafting trip on Salt River with Wilderness Aware. It was their inaugural 'SPRINT' trip and led by an experienced, thoughtful guide (Glen). Ten miles of awesome-scenery both in the water (and on the bus ride back)! Looking fwd to my next visit and hopefully if time and conditions permits a multi-day trip on... More

Had an awesome day rafting the Colorado River! The guide was very knowledgeable and made everyone feel like part of the team. I have a gluten allergy and to my surprise was able to eat 95% of the lunch provided. Would love to go on more than a one day trip and I will definitely be going with Wilderness Aware.

Boyscout crew 211 had 30 scout and scouters went rafting with Wilderness Aware. All with various levels of expertise and none of them had any complaints. Lunch was AWESOME. The side hike was a great way to stetch our legs and guides were absolutly the best. We plan on coming back in the near future for a three day ride.... More

Was very excited to raft the Upper Salt - a notable contrast to the tame float on the Lower Salt. The trip delivered completely! Scenery was exceptional, guides were easy-going, professional and supremely knowledgeable. Their understanding of the geology of the region is only second to their rafting expertise. Several options available from single day trip to overnights, we chose... More

I have done several trips with Wilderness Aware over the past two years, and I am more than pleased with my adventures!! I have been to the Buena Vista location down the Arkansas River as well as a couple of AZ trips as I reside in AZ. I have no complaints. Service is great, guides are wonderful, as is the... More

Just a great day!! The guide was top notch. READ THE LITERATURE--this is not Disney--it's a bit like roughing it but you will not be disappointed...just preparing you for what to expect (port a potties; can be cold; wear some type of footwear and be prepared to paddle & participate). Went with my 14 year old son. Clean, safe, gorgeous... More

On a short visit to Phoenix, my son and I went on a half day rafting trip. It was a beautiful drive to the location, and the rafting trip was fun and relaxing with a couple of thrills. The stop for lunch was refreshing and the meal was delicious. It was the last trip of the season so the water... More

We initially purchased a half day raft, however we had such a wonderful time it stayed for the whole day!!!! The instructors (main folks who guided us) were personable and a good time for everyone in our raft (age ranged from grammar school to 60+). I will be booking another trip this March cannot wait!
