Played both the North and South courses. Not a short course but well designed and fast greens. Clubhouse staff friendly and helpful. Free range balls and practice area prior to play. Sand traps as expected and playable. North course better than the South.

Close to other attractions, course was in great shape. Very forgiving fairways but challenging from any set of tees. Don't hit out of the desert unless you don't mind dinging your clubs, lots of hidden stones. Greens rolled about 11, so not too fast but fair and tough to read. Played the North Course and will return to try the... More

We played the North Course recently and it was well maintained. The layout and play itself was boring and not challenging. I would play it again, but as a practice round for a more exciting course.

Two friends and I played at Talking Stick (north course) as part of our spring training get away. The fairways and greens were in excellent shape, although surprisingly the greens weren't nearly as fast as they appeared. The fairways are open, and even errant shots can be located for the most part. I might have lost one or two balls,... More

As it was an extremely hot day we were very surprised that carts didn't come with bottles of water. Every other course we played had water bottles. Extremely slow play with no visible ranger. Nice course but not picture worthy.

I am a golf and travel writer and have played golf all around the greater Phoenix area. While I may be be a bit more critical than most when it comes to golf courses I do try to be fair with my reviews. This trip I played the North course and my overall rating would be AVERGAE. The conditions were... More

I live here in metro Phoenix and play a fair amount of golf. This property, both courses, are among the best of the public places to play, and are probably my favorite local venue. I personally favor the South Course, but the North Course gets more publicity and has a great layout as well. Bring your "A game," and you'll... More

I am a beginner golfer. Played the South course with my husband and son and really enjoyed it! The course is in great shape...the greens were extremely short and challenging. The staff was very helpful! The mountain views were incredible..our pictures are breathtaking! Will definitely play Talking Stick again when we are in town!

First time playing golf in Arizona.Enjoyed this course a lot visiting from New Jersey. Majority of the holes had a great backdrop of the mountains. Back 9 was a lot harder then the front 9 especially when wind picked up. Would definitely play again. Pro shop staff was very helpful
