This state park is asking for 2 weeks notice for reservations. First park that I've seen ask for that. It seems aimed towards locals or Arizona residents. Luckily there were a few extra sites on a busy weekend. Good short hike near the hot tub area. The hot tub is a nice way to talk to others. Big level sites.... More

The staff is great, but the shower and bathroom facilities could use... More

Stayed here in our motor home when we arrived in this area 6 years ago. We stayed in our motorhome. The restrooms are very clean. The hot spring is great. The park rangers are friendly and helpful. More

We have our annual company camping happening here and it's the ideal spot. We rent all the cabins for three days. Staff and their families can hike,,,take out the row boats, swim. fish, play bocce, badminton, board games or whatever. Everyone gets to do what they want. A huge ramada covers the area where tables hold coolers, beverages, snacks, deserts,... More

Also has a nice little Natural hot tub on the premises. Showers on site. 2 years ago when i was there we had a visitor (racoon) and I called him "Rocky".... More

Roper Lake State Park is a small but well equipped state park. The lake itself is quite small, more like a large pond. There are 3 camp areas. One has non-electric campsites and has several log cabins. The cabins look very nice from the outside but look small and bare on the inside. I think they have heat and A/C.... More
