Okay, so let's start with the positives. The view is spectacular. NOTHING can take away from that! It is indeed out dated and quite run down, but still has a certain old world Spanish charm. It was very clean. The breakfast buffet was very good. We were allowed to check in a little early. My husband, sister and brother-in-law and... More

This course is in TERRIBLE shape. Plus, the whole course is an accident waiting to happen. Huge water filled unmarked holes with missing caps (like a man hole cover). You have to watch your step. On course bathrooms were flooded and gross. There is no grass on fairways and the greens are in bad shape. Waste of a beautiful location.... More

The Rio Rico Golf Course was probably once a very grand place but time has not be good to her. From everything we have gathered it once was a gem of a course. The tall juniper trees that line some of the fairways can attest to that. There is potential but the course does not live up to it yet.... More

Beautiful day, friendly staff, my sweetheart & a very interesting layout. The golf was a challenge. It really needs some work. The rate told the story... $24.95 included lunch. The lunch was great by the way.

I have golfed this course many times over the last 20 years and it was always one of my favorites.. Unfortunately the last couple years things have changed for the worst. It's a great layout with some beautiful views. Hopefully someone will take it over and return it to it's prior condition. They are priced very reasonable but you should... More

Course is not in good shape but you don't pay much either. Greens were not in good shape and putting was difficult.

Course is in poor condition at best, they are working on it but you should check it out before you go!

This course was part of a stay and golf at a "Trent Jones" designed course. The pictures of the course on the groupon offer were very misleading. The groupon was $149 for a room and 18 holes of golf a southern Arizona resort. It turned out to be an old hotel with old rooms(not historic, just old). The groupon is... More

we stayed at the Esplendor hotel - which was terrible. My husband went golfing and didn't finished. He said the grass was so tall off the fairway that he lost 15 balls and didn't finish. The whole hotel/golf report was the worst we've seen.

Very nice course design. Probably a real jewel in the desert when it opened 40 years ago. Needs a major cash infusion to remodel clubhouse & repair the course. Many of the greens were in terrible shape & very slow to put on. Fairway lies were "down & dirty" most of the time. On the plus side, very little traffic... More
