I know nothing about horses or rodeos but enjoyed watching the competitions, though they are a little slow and boring with long waits between competitors. Still, it was interesting. Sort of a Fair atmosphere outside the arena with rides for the kids and expensive junk food and trinkets for sale. Loved seeing the beautiful horses and real cowboys though.

The facility handled the large amount of rain well. The grounds drained well and everyone was able to come and go at the mounted shooting competition as usual after the rain stopped.

The horseshoe park design allows for a wide variety of events. The roots and boots rodeo is a family oriented event. The facility is well maintained, clean and arenas groomed for each event. Enjoyment for both spectators and participants. Events may or may not have a fee, just check the web site for event calendar.

My first time to this event @ Horseshoe Park AND with out-of-state guests AND also met friends from Mesa, too. This was a really cool rodeo and pre-rodeo dog agility contest. We went to the rodeo on Saturday night, 3/8 and had a good time watching the bull riding, bare back riding, saddle bronco riding, women's barrel racing, calf roping,... More

I've been to several horse shows and clinics and the facility is always in great repair, clean and tidy - safe place to bring your horses and fun for spectators too. Each event that is hosted at the park is different - so you have to check ahead of time to see if there is a ticket, entrance or parking... More

Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Center is always clean and the people are pleasant. Most events are free and watching horses is relaxing and great family fun. The best sport I saw there? Horse soccer!!

This is a very nice area for all those that have horses. I am glad to see that someone thought about all my horse neighbors.

The park is a wonderful addition to the community. There is always something going on at the park. It is clean and well maintained. My favorite feature is the community arena and round pen. As I can no longer ride my horse out from my house do to the build up of houses, it is nice to have a place... More
