go early or late in the day for photo ops. One of the pretter lakes in the Arizona high country. But beware they want the day use fee from you, even if you are just taking photos!

Lynx Lake offers a beautiful setting with minimal driving from Prescott. We stopped and had breakfast in the restaurant by the lake that offered many German dishes. I loved the German pancakes with sided dish of peaches. You may eat your meal with a view of the lake and the servers treat you like family.

A quaint little lake close to town with a small boat launch and nearby campground. Set amongst the Pinion Pines...it's just a great place to hangout. Canoeing and fishing is a good day's getaway.

Short jaunt from Whiskey Row, the lake is beautiful, the walking path is clear and wide, plenty of ducks in the water and there was a nice crowd walking, fishing and having picnics. Great little hour or two get away from shopping and eating!

We are spending some time in Prescott, and someone suggested we go to Lynx Lake. It was beautiful with the trees in fall color and the lake a beautiful blue. We took the trail around the lake. Part is asphalt and part is dirt with some rocky areas. First is easy, second is easy to moderate. Total hike is about... More

My boys caught their first fish there when the were 2 and 3 years oldand that was over 20 years ago. Amazingly enough, the 2 year old caught 2 and the 3 year old caught 3. (Wish I could match my age) : - ) We have fished there, camped, had picnics, hiked, rented the paddle boats and have eaten... More

My family of 5 always drive up to Prescott and visit Lynx Lake for the day at least twice a year. You can either park at the north lot next to the lakeside restaurant or the south lot with a boat ramp. You can park and walk to the pay for parking board ($5 as of this writing). The paved... More

Good fishing, great place for a picnic, and really nice hosts. German couple, with German beer on tap....have a brat, or something else to eat at the bait shop/restaurant...lots of trails for hiking, and boats for rent on a quiet mountain lake.

We did this hike around Lynx Lake 10/26/14. Trail head off the south shore parking lot. Absolutely anyone can walk the paved trail on the west side of the lake. It is beautiful and there are benches along the way. Once you pass the dam, trail is wilderness rustic- not really hard but rocky and some elevation gains and losses... More
