Beautiful spot.

I lived in Prescott when this lake was first built and they've done a great job with it. Absolutely beautiful and well-maintained. Hiking trails are terrific.

A very pretty walk around the lake that was not terribly hard and I would recommend this for anyone who wants to spend some quality time around a lovely lake.

A small lake, but lovely! You can rent boats nearby 8am till 5m, and there are picnic grounds at the side of the lake with ramadas and grills. There is an outhouse style bathroom available too. The lake is supposed to be stocked with trout, bass and catfish, but I understand from locals that it is not stocked often. It's... More

I highly recommend visiting this Federal park. There is a decent lake surrounded by woods. The entry fee is only $5 per vehicle. When you enter the north drive you will find a general store and an amazing little German restaurant. Continue to the parking area. There is a trail there. It is paved to the right (east) and is... Hike around the lake and enjoy the beautiful scenery, The fish are biting and it's a nice place to launch your kayak for some fun on the water. Campgrounds are near by so enjoy Prescott's outdoors!

The lake was so beautiful. There were a few birds around, beautiful dragonflies, and a running trail! You can canoe or picnic. The parking was a mere $5 for the whole day (you could leave and return by just leaving your sticker on your dashboard). It was very close to our hotel which made it even better.

When visiting a friend in Prescott Valley, we had the opportunity to go for a picnic so we chose Lynx Lake. After stopping at Costco for some ribs to compliment the other food we brought for lunch, we headed up the road for 10 minutes and we had arrived at the north shore entrance. There is a little general store... More

We visit Lynx Lake on every trip to Prescott. It's easy to get to. It has picnic areas, camping, fishing and lovely easy trails including hiking around the Lake. The strudel at the German restaurant is legit. Make sure they're open before you go

A nice easy to get to lake in Prescott. Great hiking trails, ample picnic areas and a restaurant with boat/kayak rentals. The restaurant and boat rentals are only Th-Sun. check their website for hours. If you have the National Parks Senior Pass it's good for your parking entry if you place it face up on your dash.
