A nice easy to get to lake in Prescott. Great hiking trails, ample picnic areas and a restaurant with boat/kayak rentals. The restaurant and boat rentals are only Th-Sun. check their website for hours. If you have the National Parks Senior Pass it's good for your parking entry if you place it face up on your dash.

You can hike all the way around the lake. Loved it, but saw a snake, so didn't love that. You can camp nearby with some spots having tables and ramadas. The café is good and dog friendly.

Lynx Lake is worth the trip to spend some time away from the hotel. The walk around the lake is very easy. There are grills there where you can have a cookout.Alot of people were fishing along the banks of the lake.I don't remember if anyone was swimming though.

I have been there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I have also purchase desserts for parties which are a great hit. Good Prime Rib, Fish and chips, variety of breakfast and lunch items and if you have pets you may sit outside with them and they have water availbable for them.

We walked around Lynx Lake on a beautiful day, took in the gorgeous lake, and wished that we had brought our picnic basket and lawn chairs with us. There are bbq's there if you desire, and the fishing is great. Just make sure you get a permit. But the hiking around the lake is wonderful, not too stressful, and the... More

This lake is little nestled in the forest but with plenty of parking plus it has two campgrounds within walking distance of both the lake and a cute cafe overlooking the lake. The cafe serves authentic German food on Saturday nights. Fishing from a stocked lake plus you can bring a small canoe or kayak. There is no swimming or... More

We were with another couple and their 2 granddaughters, hoping to catch some fish. It was a beautiful morning, clear and sunny. We rented a boat and set out to fish. No luck fishing but we enjoyed the lovely morning out on the lake. There is a path all around the lake with spots to picnic or fish from shore.... More

This is a must during our visits. We go every time. Dog friendly. Can't wait to try the paddle boats (when the dogs don't go along).

Easy access, woods, water...what more could you ask for? Well kept grounds and good picnic facilities make this an easy choice when we're in Prescott for a day trip.
