It's nice to have this forested area in Prescott. People think AZ is all desert but not so. Plenty of hiking area and has the beautiful (but small) Lynx Lake.

So beautiful and clean. WIshed they would rent kayaks during the week and have the café open too. Lovely walk around the lake and many places to stop and just enjoy.

This is, hands down, our favorite place for an easy walk in a lovely setting. Admission is $5.00 per vehicle per day, unless you have an annual permit. Lynx lake, set in the pines, is the largest lake in a pine setting in the Prescott area. From late spring to early fall the store is open and they rent canoes,... More

This is a great little park with a nice lake. We took our dog and he loved walking through the grass as well as watching the ducks on the lake. Its a pleasant place to go to relax, and a short drive from Prescott Valley.

The cafe by the lake serves good food (mostly German) and it's nice to sit under the trees to have lunch or dinner. there's also a easy hike around the lake if you feel so inclined.

Lynx Lake Area has so many trails, you can hike forever and not see it all. My favorite is the trail around the lake. One side of the lake is a paved trail and the other is unpaved and completely different. If you like a more rugged trail, the unpaved side is for you. It gives you a great workout... More

Stayed here before. On August 28, 2014, planned to stay just one night with my service dog. I was stung by bees twice in the first half hour. The bees tormented my dog. Again while trying to eat my supper I was swarmed again. The bees attack through the use of flying insect spray. I had to eat supper with... More

Costs $5 to park there but the walk was finished in 40 minutes! Nice environment. Next time I will eat and park at German restaurant by lake - it looked interesting.

Great hiking path around lake, & lake small enough to hike around in short period of time. Has a little store & restaurant, & a camping area, which we didn't use, but convenient to have them there.
