Had a blast fishing with the family ~ didn't catch anything except some great pictures :) The campsite were great, clean restrooms too. The people in the gift shop/boat rental very friendly also. Great place to enjoy the outdoors!

Great views and so close to town. Just over two miles around the lake. The west side is an east walk and paved. The east side is a bit more tricky with a dirt trail. Five dollar day use fee required.

It is difficult to describe how beautiful this place is, and it is located right in the middle of town. You make a turn off the main highway, and within minutes you are in open space -- it is gorgeous! I recommend taking a walk around the lake, which takes about an hour, and then top it off with a... Great little German restaurant. We were there with a group of 10 and every one of us was happy with our lunches! Service was very accommodating, they even took doggy biscuits outside to those of us who brought there little friends!

This Federal site, on the eastern edge of Prescott, has a beautiful small lake in a serene, wooded setting. A paved path surrounds the lake. You can rent boats at one end, or launch your own boat at the other end. Eagles nest in the area. Wonderful place to go for a quiet time with nature.

Peaceful afternoon in the lake. The weather was perfect, the view was breathtaking and everyone there's nice. The afternoon walk was almost perfect until an off-leash dog (a pit bull terrier I think) attacked my dog. That ended our trip and went to the vet immediately. I hope owners obey the leash law in the forest so this wont happen... More

Lynx Lake provides Prescott residents and visitors with a very nice place for a stroll in beautiful scenery. The walk around the lake is not taxing and there are benches placed at strategic spots to enable you to sit and view the scenery or eat a snack. There are birds to see in the water and in the air (sometimes... More
