Campground was absolutely beautiful, weather was great and people were nice. The only problem we had was the first night we saw flashlight in camp around 11pm after being in bed went out to investigate but scared someone off. Then around midnight the truck alarm started chirping to go off so I figured he either lean on the truck grabbed... More

I'm in Prescott several times a year and always go here. The boat rentals are fun and there is a very nice walking path around the entire lake. Part of it is dirt, but easy to walk. This is a beautiful lake and has camping and a restaurant with pretty good German food.

The setting is lovely, the lake is peaceful, lots of birds, the cottonwoods are majestic, and the trails inviting! Though visit often it's always a first time wonder!

Our group has camped in many places in AZ and Lynx Lake is one of the nicest. We had #9 in B Loop which is one of a few double sites meaning 10 people and more vehicles. The sites are dirt/gravel, smooth, flat, nice fire ring. Wood at the store was $10 for a decent sized bundle. B loop has... More

When we can't decide where to go hiking, we seem to end up at the Lynx Lake Recreation Area. Easy to find, follow the sign off Rt 69 .. there are miles and miles of trails in the area. If you are a beginner hiker, the trail around the lake is paved and a nice easy walk. You can stop... More

We had a nice day at the lake but I was a little disappointed that there wasn't more services or playgrounds for the kids. It was nice but average. Beautiful view of the forest however and if we'd had more picnic supplies it might have been better but the store was costly so bring your own food and drinks. In... More

I took shots of bald eagles and the amazing scenery, ate at the cafe(which is k9 friendly,) there is a asphalt paved trail that goes around the entire perimeter of the lake(wheelchair friendly) and there are lots of lookouts.

Lakes like this make me wish we had one close to home! Such a beautiful walk around and not strenuous at all. Lots of people picnicking, fishing, walking dogs and enjoying time with their families. Great views, lots of wildlife, water was nice and clear. I enjoyed this lake more than I did at Willow Lake by far. Will return... More

Haven't camped, but have hiked a few times. You can go around the lake, unless eagles are nesting on the east side. Restaurant is great -- best Rueben I have had in a LONG time. Outdoor seating with a great view of the lake. (No fee required to go to the restaurant.)
