My art style has always tended to modern art or native American. The museum made me appreciate the art of the western cowboy. At home we own art no one pays attention to. I told my wife our guests would actually look at this art if we owned it. Cowboys, horses, wide open spaces, cows being herded down dusty canyons.... More

When you come to Prescott - btw it's pronounced "PressKit" by the real locals. We found that out when we were at the admission desk. For those who want to view actual items from the area during it's wild and woolly days, be prepared to view some items from the 18th Century, real items, not representations. The artworks are ones... Great facility for an event. You should check them out. The gift store is so cute and you can really see some great art and sculptures from the Southwest.

This museum is really awesome. There is a plethera of pieces to see, explore and read about. It is and amazing place with a wide selection of artists and their work. Great place to visit on a day when you can't be outside enjoying the scenery. If you are able to spend a couple hours inside, you won't be disappointed. Also, if the weather is nice when you come out, there is a great little trail that starts in the parking lot and follows a tunnel across the street to some... More

I visited this museum 3 times before I became a member. I really enjoy the Saturday 1PM lectures. The speakers come from all over the state. This is a place I will bring all my out-of-town guests. The setting evokes the Western Cowboy ethic.

We just attended a presentation at the Phippen Museum that was full to overflowing. The museum sponsors regular events and quality speakers for the community to enjoy, plus houses a very high end collection of Western art, ranging from traditional to modern. It is a great place to spend a quiet afternoon, or to take out- of- town guests. The... More
