This is a few miles out of town but is a lovely small museum containing wonderful western art. It is set in a beautiful scenic area.

We are not really into art but love the southwest and American cowboy so decided to give this place a try. So glad we did! The Docent that gave us a short tour was very informative. The paintings and sculptures we beautiful to say the least. I've been to the Charlie Russell museum and this is just as nice. Prescott... More

The highlight of our visit was the 10 Indian sculptures on loan through 2015. The detail on the sculptures is incredible. The balance of the museum is also interesting. We watched a movie about Life on a cattle ranch. And the art show was about the different weather storms in the desert. Additionally, the backgrounds of the local Cowboys were... More

A small museum with plenty of classic western paintings, a fair amount of sculptures in the Remington style and a room of saddles, ropes, firearms and cowboy kit from the late 1800s. If you are a fan of the 1950s and 60's cowboy movies and you love the American West this makes for a quick and interesting stop off on... More

The museum is fairly small. We went through it in about an hour. They had their current exhibit on horse art (which was excellent) but the rest of the museum only had maybe 50 paintings. Historical cowboy displays were nice though.

Nice collection of cowboy art, some of which is for sale. Museum is small, so can cover the entire collection in one to one and half hours. Location is beautiful as well, and is a quick 15 minute drive north of Prescott on Rte. 89.

Although Western art is not our genre, we appreciated the fine quality of the works displayed here and the fabulous space.

We went to see a photography exhibit but thoroughly enjoyed the western art section too. If you are looking for things to do outside of the downtown shopping area, this is a great stop. In addition, you get to see some beautiful scenery across the street.
