Surrounded by Beautiful Pine Forest

Best Lake in Prescott. The lake is surrounded by pine trees. Go early on the weekends because it packs them in, at least in august when we were there.

The lake is beautiful and walking around it is very relaxing. The path around the lake is not paved so it's a little rough in spots but still easy. The picnic areas and launch area are handicapped accessible.

I enjoyed this walk at the lake as well but you can not go completely around the lake. You hike one side to the dam and return to your starting point and then go around the other side and come back to the beginning. It is really pretty here but just be aware that you can't traverse the whole lake... More

This is a beautiful place relax, hike, fish and just take in the views! The only drawback to any of the lakes in the Prescott area, is "no swimming".

Less than 10 minutes from downtown. Quiet and peacefull. Great place to throw a ball into the water for your dog.

This area of Prescott reminds us of our state of NH. With the pine trees and wonderful lake it was like a spot near our home. The minimal fee of $2 is well worth the entrance fee. A great playground, good fishing and picnic spot for all ages. Next time we're in Prescott we'll be sure to stop in for... More

This is my favorite place for a picnic or just a thermos of tea and a good book under a tall tree. The lake is lovely but small so you can walk around it easily. The air is fresh and the facilities are great for families or parties. On a weekday, it is very quiet and the experience of the... More

This place is more secluded and offers something for everyone. The school kids go here for field trips because there's also a nice playground. There's also fishing here and it makes a great picnic area.

Fabulous location among the trees and the lake with great picnic grounds and playground for the kids! As a local, I realized that I don't visit this tranquil environment often enough - so pack a sandwich and soft drink and visit nature at its best!

We were looking for a place to try out our new kayak that would be easy to access and calm. Goldwater Lake was perfect. Even my 90 year old father was able to get in the kayak and paddle around. The launch ramp was perfect and the water was calm. We also loved the many shady spots to sit and... More
