Goldwater Lake is great for kayaking, fishing, picnicking, and a fun place for the kids. A large new area has been added with picnic tables, rest rooms, playground, and areas for large groups to meet. Enjoy the outdoors in the forest!

What a lovely lake with lots of facilities. Outfitters rent canoes or kayaks in season. One of our favorite hikes Trail #396 4.5 miles one way is from Goldwater Lake to White Spar Campground is a gentle climbing hike with great views.

This is another great small lake to hike around. Quite a bit smaller than Lynx Lake, but still very pleasant to spend the day picnicking and playing with the family.

Our family loves coming here to escape from the heat and city. Bring a snack or food for a picnic. It's a nice hike around the lake. Also nice to rent a canoe, kids and dogs love it. Has a playground for kids. It's very clean. Benches around the lake where you can just sit and relax. Fishing, duck feeding.... More

We love to go here to kayak -- it's a small lake, so it's easy to take the little ones out without overwhelming them with a full-day adventure. There is a small playground, and sand volleyball court, a ramada (available for rental from the City), restrooms, picnic tables and benches. The parking fee is annoying, and parking can be pretty... This is worth a visit. Take the trail that goes around half the lake. Keep an eye out for overhead bald-eagles.

We paid the parking fee so we could hike the trails around the lake. Some of them need maintenance. With so many places with free parking where we can hike near water, we have not been back since.
