One can spend as little or as much as they choose when going to the horse races. Least expensive is grandstand admission (sometimes even free! Check the website for calendar dates that are free.). Our favorite area is the Clubhouse which has a $5 seating charge per person (in addition to the general admission of $4 ea - again unless... More

Nothing more exciting then watching your favorite horse getting the lead in the stretch. Sit in the second level clubhouse where you can eat, drink and , of course, bet. The food is quite good and inexpensive. Walk downstairs sometimes to the paddock and get up close see the jockeys and the saddling of the horses. Great way to spend... More

They hold special events at Turf Paradise (Weinie Dog Races, and Camel Races) so we went to the track for those things. I got to see my first ever horse race. It was a lot of fun! They also serve food, and it was pretty good too. Overall, this is a cool place to visit. If you like horse races... More

Our Woodmen of the World lodge went to Turf Paradise on a beautiful Sunday in March. We enjoyed lunch in the Clubhouse while watching the horse races. The races were exciting. The meals were delicious and reasonably priced. This was a nice way to enjoy something different without spending too much.

I had never been to a horse race before and will NEVER go again! During the second race on April 6, 2014, a 2 year old filly Quarter horse crossed the finish line and broke her leg! I had no idea how brutal and cruel horse racing is! I researched and found out that on average 24 horses die on... More

The track might be a little old but it was really pretty with the palm trees and the bright flowers they had planted every where. People were nice and helpful there. It was a fun day.

We always have a good time at the track. We sit in the "free" section most of the time, bet very little but enjoy watching the races. Such beautiful horses.

Took visitors to the track for a unique (for us) experience. We were delighted to learn that it was a "senior" day, so entry fee was Free! Even the reserved Tables were Free. (Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday). Spent money on lunch, $2 program and bet $2~4 each race -- won some and lost some. But the four of us had... More

8 races takes 3.5 hours. Lots to see. Turf Clubhouse a step above the regular clubhouse. Fun afternoon with family.

Our day started out with a great breakfast. You don't have to be a veteran to do any betting. People will help you. You can keep your bets low or go crazy. We sat at a table with a monitor for $5 a person. Very comfortable. We were sitting next to a horse owner and trainer and when his horse... More
