3 of us called in the afternoon to confirm then showed up nearly 25 minutes early but they got us on horses within 5 or 6 minutes of arrival. Horses sturdy and well behaved even if one of them (Barbara!) enjoyed a nosh of an ironwood tree once in awhile. Guide ("Broken Wing" - he had a broken arm) kept... More

The best horse trail in the city. The horses are well trained and the views of the experience are spectacular. The guide we had asks a little too many questions and kinda should focus more on giving a tour. The steakhouse was bootleg. Charge an arm and leg for steak that was mediocre. The salad bar was also poor. Ey... More

I went on the 2 hour ride and our ride included a view of Phoenix. The horses are well trained and the wrangler was a seasoned rider!

Eeeeek. Hired Ponderosa for a pre-wedding hayride. 15 people, a haywagon and a cowboy. We all happily signed the liability waiver and went on our merry way. It was a beautiful ride with a gorgeous sunset. We went from pavement to the dirt trail on South Mountain. We were truly enjoying our night until....The harness holding the horses broke. The... Folks were very nice at this stable - horses were well behaved. The trail ride left a little to be desired - just made a loop around the dessert. If I could do it again -I'd go further out of the city...

We were sent here on a recommendation from my fiancee who'd also come here. She and her then 9 year old daughter took the sunset ride to the steakhouse. I came with my two sons (11 and 15) and we did the same ride. Our guide, Jerry (Gerry?), was a grizzled vet -- literally, having served years in the Navy... More

if you're looking for something to do this horseback ride is fun and relaxing. My guide , Kaia was very friendly and made the ride very enjoyable. Relaxing horse walk through the desert. Nice way to see the sights without tiring myself out by walking myself. My sweet tempered horse, Joe, did all the walking for me.
