I went with 2 friends on the raft trip down the Colorado River as a 50th birthday adventure. We drove from Las Vegas on Sunday 9/27, and stayed at the Hualapai Lodge (see separate review). At approximately 8AM on Monday 9/28, we boarded the school bus from Hell for the ride down to the river. In 2004 I came here... more

My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed the Hualapai River Runners trip and would recommend it to most people. In order to enjoy the full experience you should be able to walk on rough, uneven terrain, and not mind being wet and occasionally cold for short periods of time. We arrived at the Hualapai Lodge on Route 66 the night before... more

Staying at the Hualapi Lodge was very beneficial as you leave from that spot at 7:30 in the morning. The expierence was a great time. It is a full day as you leave around 7:30am and return around 7:00pm. You are worn out, but it is well worth it. We rafted approximately 40 miles on the Colorado River. The first... more

With 8 adventurous adults on our boat, our guide, Bryant, delivered the best the Colorado River had to offer! He was fabulous and even repeated the Category 7 rapid 3 times! Bring along some patience--our boat was missing lunch, one of the boat's motor overheated and had to be towed the last bit, we waited 90 min to board the... more

I recently had the opportunity to go on the trip and I sould like to preface my review with the statement, that if anyone has ever wanted to raft through the Grand Canyon; they should make every attempt to go on the longest possible trip. A trip through the Canyon is an incredible experience, and the one-day is a tiny... more

If you are having trouble communicating with them, dont give up! They are very nice and extremely accomodating. The are located right on Route 66, in the Hualapai Lodge, you can't miss them. Good idea to stay at the Lodge the night before (ask for street front room away from train track). Delicious food at the Lodge's restaurant. Wear beach... more

I booked the trip online with Rivers & Oceans (http://www.rivers-oceans.com/) and it was one of the few times that my expectations were exceeded with regards to a planned trip. Everything was done via e-mail and 1 phone call...really easy. We were 2 adults with 2 boys ages 11 + 14, and it came out to about $350 per person. The... more

We did the 1-day white water trip. The bus ride there is 1hr and bumpy, but kinda fun. The rafting itself was fun and we had a good guide. It's very hot in the summer but the water is FRIGID. I mean like ice. And you will get soaking wet. You get a metal box about 12"L 4"W and 6"H... more

We enjoyed the Hualapai River Runners 1 day trip with our children ages 13,12,10, and 8. It was the only rafting adventure that would accept younger children. It was an amazing day! The 1 hour ride to the river on a school bus on a dirt road (the only road into the canyon we were told) was a blast for... more

If it wasn't for friends who have recently enjoyed this trip but had similar problems, I would be panicing by now. Booking online proved difficult because we couldn't be sure of the tour's availability. The company did email back promptly and confirm that the tour is running on the date we planned however since then emails have bounced in our... more
