My partner and I have just arrived back from our honeymoon, which encompassed many of America’s cities! For our stay in Las Vegas we decided to hire a convertible and drive to the skywalk stopping at Hoover dam and maximising the beautiful scenery as we go by. When we arrived at what looked like the entrance to a notorious Cuban... more

This was the biggest disappointment of our trip. You pay $75.00 to board a dirty bus to the "Skywalk". You can't take any photos, but they'll take them for you at $30.00 a pop. It's advertized as being "4000 feet above the canyon" when in fact it's only a few hundred feet to the ground below. If you want to... more

The Skywalk itself I enjoyed, but I do agree that the prices are way too expensive. I am writing this review to warn other drivers, especially RV drivers, of the terrible state the approach road is in. I cannot stress how bad this particular 14 mile stretch of road is! One of the previous reviewers who described it as driving... more

I can't believe I wasted an entire day to go see the world's largest hole in the ground. This was by far the worst experience of my entire 3 week vacation. To start, we were staying in Vegas at the MGM. We rented a car for 1 day (a convertible Mustang) just for this day trip, as this was my... more

I wouldn't say to avoid this, but you do need to know what you are getting in to. First off, this is a good two hour drive from Kingman, over some very dusty road. Expect long waits due to construction. Our first surprise was the price, the advertisements cards that we saw state that the cost is $29.95 to walk... more

We arrived at the skywalk around 5 pm and we just wanted to see the skywalk because of the time constraints. When you read the website it sounds like you take a shuttle bus for $15.00 that takes you to the skywalk for $33.00. However when you get there you have to take the bus tour for $38.00 then they... more

It was definitely worth the drive from Las Vegas. The location, views, Grand Canyon are well worth it. But the admission price, the mandatory tour bus, and 15 miles of the road being unpaved hurt the experience. I don't even mind the road or the tour, but 75$ for one person? Why? For what? As a tourist attraction, it's a... more

After reading the comments and doing some googleing I was prepared for the Grand Canyon West/Skywalk experience. My wife and I signed up for the www.grandcanyontourcompany.com tour of the West Rim Skywalk. We were picked up at our Las Vegas hotel in the morning, driven to the Canyon in a very comfortable motor coach and guided every step of the... more

Even though it was exciting to walk on the glass bridge, I was disappointed in the overall experience. We drove from Las Vegas, via Hoover Dam and it was not a bad drive except for the last 14 miles on a very dusty dirt road. It is way over priced, $30 for the bus ride from the parking area, and... more
