What a delightful find ! Rancho Tonto is located on beautiful grounds on your way to the fish hatchery. It has a stocked trout pond where you can fish for a fee without a licenses. No license is needed !! Also they provide the fishing poles and bait (very simple but good enough for this kind of fishing). Fishing itself is... More

As i read these reviews, I cant help but notice the complete difference between the 5 star on 1 star reviews. all the 5 star reviews all kind of sound the same of how great the owners are and how helpful and polite they are. But as I read the negative reviews, those are the ones that I agree with... More

After looking at over 23 wedding venues all over Arizona we stopped at a hotel to stay the night in Payson. The receptionist at the hotel we were staying at said that she had attended a wedding at Rancho Catch Trout once we went and looked at the venue we realized this was going to be a very beautiful place... My son wanted to see the 'catch a trout' so we stopped. $30 for three fish later.....was a ripoff. Don't get out of the car, because you can't just sit and enjoy....you have to 'fish or get out'. We were watched like criminals in lockdown by whom I can only assume are the owners. What are we going to do?... More

My wife and I have been coming to the "trout farm" for more than 4 years. It is one of the highlights of our visits ti the Payson area! My wife always manages to catch 4-6 nice sized size Rainbow trout, which we take back to our lodging and cook on the grill. Fresh trout on the grill is hard... More

We were planning our daughters wedding and got Brenda's name from a friend in Payson. She made everything for the wedding easy. Both Randy and Brenda, went out of their way to insure that every last detail was taken care of. They even provided us with names and numbers of outside vendors to help make our daughters wedding perfect in... More

I will say that this is the first time that I have ever left a review on anything but felt it was necessary due to the very poor customer service that the owners provide to their paying customers. If you ever want to plan an event here such as a wedding, Ihighly recommend going else where. They will be super... More

The afternoon of July 18, 2015 I had arrived to attend a friends wedding. We had arrived 3 hours early, and going to meet my best friend at his cabin he had rented. Upon going thru the gate we had observed a small parking lot to the right and a small dirt road to our left. Our GPS had told us... More

Beat buying 2 licenses and bringing our tackle with no guarantee of catching a trout. This place charges $1 an inch for any fish you catch and if you don't catch you don't pay. We caught 4 which ranged from 8"-14". You are provided with tackle and bait. Very beautiful small lake with comfy chairs and shade. Nice way to... More

Our daughter wanted to have her wedding outdoors in open space so everyone in the wedding could walk around freely instead of sitting at a table inside a ballroom. WE FOUND THE PERFECT PLACE FOR THE WEDDING!! This place is PERFECT for a wedding, reunion, or any other celebration/gathering! It is part of the Arizona Tonto National Park. The wedding... More
