This is the southernmost ski slope in the United States. They give rides up the mountain on the lift in the summer months. It doesn't snow enough for skiing every year.

I absolutely love this ski valley. It is very intimate, and has an amazing backstory. It is also the southernmost ski valley in the USA, which is very cool. The staff is nice, and the rentals actually don't take too long (about 30 minutes). I got there early and spent the whole day there. I also cut my ear on... More

We drove up here a few days ago as part of our trip to the top of Mt. Lemmon. It looks like a nice little day ski area, considering where you are. There was snow on the slope, but not enough to ski down. They were selling chairlift tickets ($11 adult) for just a sightseeing ride up and down (we... More

They have this Oktoberfest for like 5 weekends in the fall. We didn't go there for the event and honestly nobody but the locals should attend. It had a band and a few sausages available, but nothing else and it costs $5 to park whether you are attending the event or not (even if you are just eating at restaurant).... More

Get early because they close at five. Don't forget a warm hoodie or a jacket because it gets cold. This is a great place to visit if you are short on time.

The ride up the mountain is beautiful at any time of the year and provides an excellent escape from the heat of summer. The ski lift is worth riding in summer as it takes one to an area that offers spectacular views and some easy hiking. The flowers were very pretty in late July and there is a good chance... More

I lived in Tucson for 7 years during Undergad and Grad school. Mt. Lemon Ski Area made a for a great escape when I was short on time and cash (which was often since I always worked full time). It's inexpensive as far as ski areas in AZ are concerned and was a short 30-40 minute drive from my apartment... More

We were visitng biosphere during the day (that place is a disaster IMHO). However, to make it up we decided to check out mount lemmon. The drive was amazing and the mountainsas usual provide some stunning views!

I have skied here for 4 decades. The lift is a slow double chair, bring a book. The other 2 don't go more than a very few vertical feet. Terrain is quite good, I think better than Sunrise. For all climate deniers Mt Lemmon didn't open for the winter of '13-14 (never happened before) and only did for a very... More
