If you have a good taxi driver it's worth a stop at the Papapapaitai Falls. If it's misty avoid going down to the pool at the bottom. Make sure you have your camera to take some photos of spectacular scenery. Car park was untidy.

I was fortunate to have a taxi driver who took me to see the Papapapaitai water fall on the way back to my accommodation. The water fall is surrounded by dense tropical bush and was a little difficult to see. While beautiful, as water falls are, I would not put it at the top of my list of things to... More

Unfortunately there was a lot of mist around when we visited but could imagine how good it would look at another time. A get out of the bus and have a look moment- definitely not a "lets walk down"!

A must see spot on the Island with brilliant views to the waterfall, unfortunately, we didn't have the time to climb down to the pool at the bottom for a shower ;)

Loved the fact that it was an easily identifiable attraction. Just off the main road, and quite an awesome view especially when the mist clears. Only downside was that there was a bit of rubbish around in the carpark, but other than that it was a great, free attraction to quickly stop at and take some classic tourist snaps.

Loved the amazing view of the crater and the waterfall, but didn't have the energy on a hot day to get down amongst it.

We stopped here twice! First time there was cloud in the valley, which gave the falls an ethereal feel. Second time it was clear and we could see the full extent of the waterfall, quite impressive.

The waterfall is pretty magnificent, but you can only see it from an overgrown pot-hole filled carpark across the valley. Is worth a 10 minute photo stop if you are already making your way across the island, but I wouldnt recommend making a special trip.
