Ushuaia, Argentina and Beagle Channel, Chile Expeditions to the magnificent Polar Regions of Antarctica and Chile’s inside passage including the Beagle Channel allowed us to seeing migration of humpback whales, Emperor penguins, big lobsters, and the most spectacular and scenic ocean and mountains views. Ushuaia the south most far away city of the Americas is a wonderful place to see.... More

Incredible location, it genuinely feels you are right at the tip of the world. Getting a boat tour into the channel makes for a windswept but gorgeous foray into old Argentina, where you will learn about the natives and how they survived, along with modern animals that still thrive. Keep an eye out for an albatross!

Beagle Channel is a must see when in Ushuaia. A boat can take you to several little island where you can see animals like see lions and even penguins (only in summer). The boat also can take you to the Les Eclaireurs lighthouse.

Beautiful Ensenada Bay offered superb views of the Beagle Channel. The Beagle Channel was named after the ship that carried English Naturalist, Charles Darwin. The channel boasts towering snow-capped mountains. We were able to see across the channel to Navarino and Hoste islands, the nearest land to the Antarctic continent.

Make sure your tour, if you plan on taking one, has canoeing or kayaking included! Because you would love paddling through the calm waters and the spectacular views.

The Beagle Channel! The actual Beagle Channel! This is the place of dreams - I never in a gazillion years thought I'd be gazing at the famous, faraway Beagle Channel. It is a place of history books and it's remoteness makes it even more magical. I felt like a real adventurer/explorer seeing it. In Ushuaia, some families live in shipping... More

Our trip began at Lapataia Bay, where we boarded a catamaran for a 2-hour tour. Hot & cold drinks were provided along with a generous box lunch. Souvenirs were available for purchase. The channel was interesting and beautiful. We were given close-up views of 2 lighthouses, several islands, sea lions, cormorants, and more. We were surrounded by wonderful mountain scenery.... More

Hit the Beagle channel, you never know what you'll see, albatross, petrel or whale, we say a humpback whale jumping right outside the Ushuaia harbour
