We cruised the Beagle Channel from Port Ushuaia. The boat was a large catamaran and was very comfortable. The seats were nice and there were bathrooms as well as a light snack bar with sweets and drinks and a small number of gifts. The scenery was fabulous as you are surrounded by snow capped mountains. The boat takes you up... More

We took a short boat cruise of the Channel and it was definitely a worthwhile experience. Not too pricey and a solid way to spend a few hours and see the surrounding landscape if you are taking a break from hiking, kayaking, etc. If I had only a day it might not be the only thing I do (that would... We took a canoe trip through the channel. The waters were calm, the scenery was beautiful and the guide had a great sense of humor.

I read about it at my 10 years old history lessons. I was there at my 50yo for first time. Too much emotions! Go up to the Penguins Island and contemplate the animals all around the navigation plus the pic of the end of the world!

Amazing boat trip seeing glaciers, sea lion, albatross, cormorants. Fantastic! We were lucky with the weather though.

We did a boat trip which left at 3.30pm and got back at about 9.30pm ish I think. I feel a bit useless with information as I don't know how much it cost as it was included in a G adventures tour for us. It was a nice trip though. First you sail along through the channel&the scenery is very... More

A boat tour down the famed beagle Channel is, I am quite sure, on everyone's list while in Ushuaia. There are many types of trips to choose from including short ones of up to 3 hours and longer ones that take about 6 - 7 hours. What you choose would naturally depend on how much time you have available, but... More

Went on the half day trip, on the way you see many kinds of birds, seals and lots of other animals. It can get rather chilli so make sure you have a jacket, scarf etc, I was the only tourist on the boat that spoke English but the lovely guide spent some time with me explaining things on the way.... Totally worth it. I strongly recommend the Penguinera and the yacht trips. Don´t drink water from it though.

To visit Ushuaia and not take a boat trip of some kind would be a waste. We were there with a tour to sail to Punta Arenas and around Cape Horn. If you aren't there for a similar or Antarctic Voyage make sure to take a day trip out into the waters to experience this part of the bottom of... More
