Ushuaia is among the most beautiful land I have ever seen and when seen from the sea it's just wonderful! The cruise along the Beagle channel, through islands, sea life, light-house and the mountains in the back ground worth every single second, dollar and frostbite. The boat was very comfortable, with a cafeteria within, nice staff and a splendid view... More

In a trip over a catamaran we could see sea lions, pinguins and the Faro O End of the World, ina rainy and snow day, very cold.

We found this to be much like southern Alaska with it's fjords, snow capped peaks, islands and lots of bird life.

made a reservation the night before for the long trip so I could see the penguins and woke up bright and early the next day as I heard from previous reviewers to take the morning one due to the water being calmer which it was. A lot was seen on my trip down the Beagle Channel but no orcas as... More

Amazing views from the channel--gorgeous mountains all around, sea lions, cormorants, and so many other birds. Incredibly picturesque but yes as others have noted the sea is very rough. Be sure to have your seasickness patches if you are affected by that!

It was nice to go to Beagle Channel, and see the beautifull landscape. Unfortunatelly, due to the waves I felt sick at the boat.

On my last day in Ushuaia, despite warnings of a very choppy sea, I opted for a 'canoe' or boat ride into the Beagle Channel. I did not want to leave Tierra del Fuego without venturing into 'Darwin country'. Our hefty guide spoke both English and Spanish. Our first stop was Bird Island, packed with brilliant King Cormorants and Imperial... More

I visited Ushuai at the beginning of low season, which I managed to do reasonably cheaply, but do be warned that most boat tours of the Beagle Channel will have closed by then. I managed to get a boat on the final day it was running (third week of April) and the tour operator was refreshingly upfront about how much... More

We went to Tierra del Fuego National Park for our excursion but be did see Beagle Channel from the port and from our cruise ship. The scenery was great. We saw a few glaciers. There were 3 rainbows.

Had a boat ride that took us along the Channel. Stopped by to see the sealions (and there were many!), as well as cormorants and penguins. I think depending on the season you might get to see more penguins. Also saw the faroe lighthouse and stopped on Bridges Island. The island didn't have much on it but it's the state... More
