Took the Stella Australis cruise from Pta. Arenas and return, through the Beagle Channel, the Magellan Straight and Cape Horn. The views are just awesome, mind blowing. The service on board was really good. they keep it simple, but with really nice food and really good service! The expeditions every day are so good, and all the guides are extremely... More

Having read The Voyage of the Beagle, I was most interested in seeing the channel. The boat holds a large number of people so getting on and off the boat was a slow process and taking photos almost impossible.

We took I ship and pass for 3 places: the penguinisland ( only appear after november) the island of sea lion and the lighthouse of the end of the world. It's a ride of 1 hour or 2 hours.

We just finished the Stella Australis cruise from Punta Arenas, Chile to Ushuaia, Argentina. It was our first time on any form of cruise and we thoroughly enjoyed all of it. We especially enjoyed the hikes up and around Pia Glacier and above Wulaia Bay. Mauricio, our guide for the two hikes, was outstandingly knowledgeable about all the various aspects... More

Amazing trip. But you have to choose a good day, or you wont be able to see the views. I did with with the agency Patagonia Adventure Explorer, and i highly recommended. The guide was very helpful, enthusiastic, and funny! Im not normally a fan of tourist agncy, but this one is pretty good.

Frontier between Argentina and Chile , of course . On the area of Ushuaia , this Chanel vastens its widness into a sall sea, as the winds we´ve met yesterday agitated its waters into surprisingly relevant and consecutive waves . Something I didn´t expect in the consistent way it did !

We did the Channel via the Celebrity Cruise Lines. Stopped in Ushuhia AR and went to Penguin Island, A must do. Best time to go is late January. Dress warm even in summer, 30's to 50's F. Lots of wind & rain.

If you are in Ushuaia for any length of time you can book yourself a day trip on a well equipped day cruiser to journey the length of this historic channel and spend an hour or two at Harburton, the early English settlement or estancia. Leaving Ushuaia's busy harbour you pass close ro Antarctic cruise ships and the many yachts... More

Great way to see sea lions and the birds from the Tierra del Fuego. If you come to Ushuaia this excursion is a Must. There is also a stop on the way to be able to see local plants and nature.
