It is 5h long boat ride to see a lighthouse, some sealions (when i went there was no penguins), a walk on an island and a great view of ushuaia (especially in the way back). If you get sea sick you should avoid, otherwise its worth it. if you go in the winter, prepare for a really cold wind. A... More

What a fantastic trip on the catamaran, photograph heaven, and mountains in every direction beautiful scenery everywhere, wildlife was abundant, sea lions, penguins, we even saw a whale, brown albatross and too many birds to mention one of the best trips we've had, the boat gave everyone a chance for a good photo because it manoeuvred round and spent some... If you have an opportunity to cruise the Beagle Channel ... don't miss it! Magnificent snow capped mountains, glaciers, and much more. A photographers dream! We have cruised through this area twice, and never grow tired of this natural beauty. Hopefully, you're day will have sunshine to reflect off the mountains. Good luck!

Definitely a top thing to do when visiting Ushuaia. We took a 2.5 hour catamaran cruise which brought us up close to the sea lion colonies and gave breathtaking views of the snow capped mountains all around! A highlight of our South American tour so far.

When you are in Ushuaia do not miss taking a sailing trip out into the channel. All kinds of wildlife and history, if the weather is good you will get some amazing photos!

We had a beautiful day diving near the penguin rookery. The views of the mountains of Argentina and Chile around the Beagle Channel are terrific. Seeing Ushuia and the Channel lit up at night from the Arakur Hotel´s pool lat at night was also a highlight.

I wasn't sure what to expect from our ferry ride on the Beagle Channel, but we really enjoyed it! Beautiful views of the city and surrounding mountains, plus some of the local wildlife. The ferries get close so that you can take plenty of pictures of the animals and also let you off on a small island. The penguins were... More

If you ever make it to the end of the earth you must see the Beagle Channel. Named after ship that originally explored the area this is a must see. It is so remote and beautiful and you can just imagine the courage of the initial explorers that transited this area in a sailing vessel. If you like the wilderness... More

We were on a small Russian scientific boat to visit the Fakland islands, South Georgia and the Antarctica peninsula. We left Ushuaia just before 6pm in order to avoid paying harbor fees for another day. We sailed through the canal at the en of the day and at night. The water is calm, there is almost no traffic. We saw... More
