The glacier is terrific and very close to the city. It`s possible to take a taxi to the entrance and do the tour by yourself just walking. I did during summer time and it was a sunny day, the tour took around 1 hour to the top of the hill. It`s great for those who loves the nature, theres rivers... More

We were very fortunate to climb to the top of the glacier on an unusually clear day. You can see far over to Chile, across the USH airport, and mountains in every direction. It's a grueling 20 minute hike straight up a steep incline, but after that, you get some variation in the climb to the top of the glacier.... More

The Information Center downtown may tell you that the Canopy and Zipline Course are open -- but be sure to double check. It was closed when I visited and looked to be in poor condition. The hike is good and you can see great views of the channel and mountains -- but if you don't schedule a return taxi you... More

We decided to walk to the glacier from the town centre-a taxi might have been a better bet. We hoped to use the chair lift to go to the ridge to see the bay- the chair lift wasn't operating- although plenty of people were around. We walked up the track towards the top and had some good views- but we... More

Take a taxi to go to the base, they are very cheap. Then you can do a nice little hike to the glacier. The glacier itself is small but you'll have very nice views from there, making it worth a visit.

A 30' track separates you from a lot of fun you'll have at the top, sliding down. Bring a sheet of plastic to get speed and definitely try sliding down on your belly! But wear appropriate snow clothes.

I walked up following a paved road that passes by some hotels in the mountain side. I saw there is a chairlift that is out of order. The glacier receded, but I enjoyed the views while walking down the road.

There's nothing special here just an old sky resort with snow. When it's snowing it's beautiful. If there isn't snow in the city you certanly can see here. The way until there is interesting because you pass in front some different hotels.

Unfortunately there isn't much to see. As others have written, the glacier is not easily visible so all you'll likely see is a hill with snow. At this time of year the chairlift isn't working and there isn't much snow so the walk up isn't all that scenic either. Would suggest you miss this and if in Patagonia for a... More

As we were at Ushuaia , wayting for our embarkment in Stella Australis , we went to this atraction , in the mountain . As I suspected , we found a spot where all the infrastructures are either broken, or not working , or corny and unatractive . Though, the view of Ushuaia bay is always splendid !
