It's a really easy trekking, and anyone can do it. I think it took me 3hours. When I was there, the cableway wasn't working. My suggestion is to take a cab (which is really cheap), then he will drop you on the bottom the mountain.

Took taxi to bottom of old ski hill and then a three hour stroll to top of the trail. We had a beautiful warm day with nice view of town and port. We had only one day and had several options available, but we thought the hike and view would be interesting. It gets steep towards end and the walk... More

If you have a couple of hours to burn it is worth the walk up. But it is definitely not the best walk around town, neither the best vieuw our glacier. Most of the walk up is along a road, but on the other hand you can start it right from town.

This walk is quite nice and it starts on the city so you dont actually have to pay for transportation/entry. The Glacier itself is not as impressive as other attractions in Patagonia, but it is worth going there since you have a really good view of the city in the end.

That was one of my favorite things to see in Ushuaia! The mountain is beautiful! But maybe that is because I'm from a country where there are not so many mountians and almost no snow. Maybe if you are from a mountain region, the Martial Glaciar wont amaze you that much. That is because, when some one imagines a glaciar,... More

While I am sure it was a great glacier at some point in time, it is far from impressive today. However, the hike to the snow was enjoyable and the views on the way up are worthwhile. Bring gear for freak snow storms and cold but rest assured the weather will change within minutes.

The glacier itself is nothing spectacular, but the views of Ushuaia from the top are well-worth the hike! An easy taxi-ride out of town and, atleast during the busy season, there were plenty of taxis waiting for us when we were done!

Even during summer, is very windy. Bing a jacket. Take a cab until the Tea House, then you can walk until the top. It's well sinalized, don't need any guide. The view is really nice and you can see all the city. To come back, there will be some cabs waiting for everybody who went up. The cab to the... More
