One of the most greatest views of the Ushuaia city. Incredible! Don't hesitate to visit this glacier close to the city.

My wife and I were at the Martial Glacier in Dec 2014. We rented a car and after a couple of missed turns.....fairly easily found our way up from Ushuaia. The main tip is pick and N/S street and head north until you intersect Magallanes, then watch for a couple of left forks.....the first one is after a roundabout.....there are... More

We hiked this beautiful area on a cloudy and drizzly day which turned cold and raining in late December. But that didn't spoil the beauty. We didn't walk the road - we started the hike from the chair lift. It took about an hour to get to the glacier and in my estimation, it was not difficult. I was with... More

I went walking from the center of the city...I recommend to do it and don't take the taxi! The street is not so heavy to walk, just in the and the last part is a little bit more difficult but you can take the teleferic if it is working! The view from the top is amazing! You can see all... More

This glacier is beautiful! We visited on a clear day with a blue sky and were amazed by the beauty of the glacier. Stunning!

If you are in great shape you might like this. We unfortunately are not and we missed the ski lift operating times. It's so steep! We made it part way and turned around in despair!

The trail and the glacier are incredible, and the good thing is it's reasonably easy to reach. Taxis can drop you on the beggining of the trail and when you leave there are lots of cabs to go down with. If you want to walk all the way from the city center you also can, but have to be in... More

If the weather is nice and you're looking for a hike that is about 1.5-2 hrs it is very nice. It is also inexpensive as the only cost will be the taxi to get there and back. During high season (January) you should have no problem getting a taxi back. Any other time you may want to call or schedule... More
