If you have any amount of time to spend in Ushuaia, maximize your time in Tierra del Fuego. It's not clear to me how long one could spend here if you saw everything - or whether we saw everything in the 6 hours we spent. Maybe there's not much more than that unless you're camping? But this is definitely the... More

If you've come this far, you might as well take the train to the end of the world! Crush of people at the ticket office, despite having prepaid vouchers to redeem for our ride; it was a long process, but we did get on the train. Learn about the history of development of the port of Ushuaia, the penal colony... More

The national park offers several different hikes to explore and every hike has a different dificulty and a nice landscape during the way. It is good to get informed on the entrance of the park to see which activity will fit better you type of travel.

Interesting park at the end of the world. The views are pretty, however not quite spectacular. We hiked along the coast and were able to spot a few interesting birds. The beech forest is beautiful and the huge burls on the trees were unusual and worth seeing. You wouldn't travel thousands of miles to see this national park, however if... More

In addition to gorgeous Channel views, numerous birds and animals and a picturesque setting, this is about the best activity in the Ushuaia area. While it is good for a day or so, I am not sure it is worth spending days on end if you are stretched for time. We did the tour in a half day, including the... More

We just did a short 6 mile coast walk, but the view was beautiful. If you are all the way down here, you should come to the Park.

Like most national parks in the US, this place has an entrance fee, which isn't a big deal, but it's annoying b/c you have to stop, get out of your car, go into a separate building and pay for the pass.

Because we are cheap, we went with the cheapest possible way to get to the park. We took a bus (the stop is close to the tourist info centre and next to a gas station) for 200 pesos a head round trip. There are buses leaving to the park every hour, but only return on a set schedule - they... More

The coastal trail is beautiful and easy (if muddy, too). Allow one full day to have enough time to walk several of the clearly marked trails. It's beautiful, quiet.

We took a boat cruise around the harbour which was great . Saw cormorans and other wild life .Then we went for the train ride -- the so called " End of the World Train " . The train had a very annoying recording that we heard many many times during the ride but the ride went through some very... More
