Incredible to imagine living in this location in winter. Fabulous views, interesting living arrangements. Thoroughly enjoyed the interpretive tour of the trail and graveyard. The meal at the new restaurant was charming and the whale museum was terrific, finally got to see baleen, after years of reading about it. A perfect day!

Historically significant Estancia - the first in the region, I think. It was an interesting one hour drive from Ushuaia. Nicely set up, with a guide who spoke great English walking us around the compound, and with plenty to say about the history, flora and fauna, and sociology of the place. We did it round-trip from Ushuaia in our own... More

You need to rent a car to do it, or you can take an excursion. The road ia non paved one, that is good enough for a standar vehicle. You will discover a lot of slmall lagoons and river, in middle of Lenga woods during the first part of the road. Then you will arrive to a bifurcation of the... More

We visited as part of a trip to see the Penguins. The estancia is a wonderful step back in time. The countryside is astounding. The tearoom is quaint with lots of history about the estancia which was great. The museum of marine biology is fantastic and was a real surprise

We went there for visiting our friends, the penguins. Probably you will not ever meet such a good creature. Well, maybe dogs, but this is different. However, to go to see the penguins you go thru this Estancia Haeberton. I told them they do not know what they really have over there. It is a beautiful place that deserve the... More

We took an excursion with PIRA TOUR to go see penguins in their natural habitat. They take you on a half a day tour that lasts approx 6 hours. It is not cheap, but for us it was worth it. The guide was very knowledgeable & outgoing. We enjoyed going by boat to see the Penguins right at the island... More

This place is unlike any place I've been to. It was the first Estancia (Ranch) on the island and they've preserved just about everything. There are so many cool little things on the ranch and also a restaurant. Everything you need for a great afternoon. Pairs GREAT with a boat tour of the Beagle Channel, which can dock right at...
