The Upsala Glacier is one of the largest in Los Glaciares National Park. To sail through the Argentino Lake among icebergs and mountains and then visit Estancia Cristina is an interesting combination of nature, adventure, history, and pleasure. This full day program offers alternatives such as those who prefer a quite day of touring and history as well as those who look forward to activities with adventure like trekking and riding a four wheel drive. The excursions that are surrounded by the Andes mountains, glaciers and Argentino Lake leads us to get in touch with a natural, unique, remote environment, with culture and lifestyle of the pioneers and the interesting relationship of them with famous explorers of past century.

We booked the day trip. The boat takes you to one of the glaciers and around the icebergs. Then on the estancia you have a tour of the history and a superb 4x4 trip to a view point. All the guides have excellent knowledge. The most disappointing thing was that we pre booked the lunch and we got one empanada,... More

We were originally scheduled to stay at the Estancia for three nights but our departure was delayed by one day due to strong winds on Lago Argentino. It's good to know that your reservation may be delayed or cancelled due to weather/wind. We had a great time at the Estancia. The staff, food, and scenery are all excellent. We had... More

We adored our stay at Estancia Cristina. The rooms was comfortable and the communal dining was great and led to a lot of fun. Most importantly, the daily hikes and horseback rides were a highlight of a year around the world. Wild horses were crossing the river as we crossed one day, go see the glaciers before they melt! Amazing... More

What an amazing place. We both felt totally rejuvenated after our two day stay at magical Cristina. We had never hiked before but went on a 17km hike with a massive,y well informed and amusing guide, Anna. The horseback riding was wonderful and then we did another hike...exploring this very special corner of the world. Everyone there is charming, the... More

First a boat trip to look at the icebergs. We couldn't get very close to the Upsalala Glacier because there were too many bergs. This happens a lot, but the continuing ride to the Estancia Cristina was pretty. And when you get off it is windy and stays that way until you get back on the boat. 4x4 ride up... More

This property is a real gem. It is out of the way and you can only get there by boat. It is great for hiking, horseback riding or just relaxing. There are many different areas in which to hike. One day we took a 45 min 4-wheel drive and then hiked to get an up close and personal view of... More

We visited here on a organized tour. We attempted to get up close and personal to the glacier however high winds made the trip impossible (unfortunately, most the guests got sea sick). We then headed for the farm area. We took 4x4 to the top vantage point to get up close and personal to the glaciers. Amazing views on the... More

We gasped at the price of the discovery trip, but we were looking for an alternative to the perito moreno glacier tours. Booking agents very efficient, pick up from hotel, slick transfers throughout. Great boat trip very close to icebergs but didn't go all the way to terminal face. Excellent 4x4 trip and amazing commentary by our guide. Very expensive... More

It takes 2 hours to get here, if there's not a head wind, and this is an example of a working farm, and seeing the displays of what they had it makes you appreciate the luxury of a shop and fresh produce. Our tour included the 4/4 to the top of the glacier, which was fascinating, but it was a... More

My husband and I paid for the "trekking" trip to Estancia Cristina. However, even though they canceled the trekking trip for that day, they didn't let us know about this until it was too late (i.e., I was on the boat). Instead, we were offered to do their "classic option", which didn't involve any hiking. We ended up sitting at... More

Thanks a lot for taking the time to share your experience on TripAdvisor. Regarding the day you took the tour, it is true there was an unespected snow that made us cancelled 2 of the 3 alternatives we offer at the Estancia. Classic option was the only alternative available!. We are really sorry for the inconveniences. In reference to the... More
