A real trip highlight, and well worth the trip from BA. We took a small tour from El Calafate (something Mundo) with an English speaking guide (Ruben). It was excellent and well worth the additional paseos to have a guide.
We absolutely loved Perito Moreno Glacier. The crack!, splash and rumble of the glacier calving is one of my most vivid memories from our trip. The walk ways for viewing the glacier are amazing. The whole thing is very well done. I could stay there for hours just gazing at, watching and listening to the glacier ... and I did....

If you're in El Calafate the chances are you're planning to visit the Perito Moreno Glacier. Like everyone else who has written a review, my partner and I thought it was incredible! We especially loved the 4hr trek across the glacier (big ice). For anyone with any interest in photography the glacier is the perfect opportunity to test out your...

Incredible views and the bonus of whiskey on glacial ice at the end. It...

This is something everyone must see in their lifetime. Hiking up the glaciers and going in a boat around this mounstrous blocks of ice is something words cannot describe.
I only wish the big ice was open! Minitrekking on Perito Moreno Glacier was great. Breathtaking views, nice easy Walk on ice with professional guides. Safe and delightful.

A network of walkways and stairs have been built which enable you to walk close to the face of the snout. Photographers will need the full range of lens - mine is a zoom - in order to capture...

This is the traditional Glacier to visit in the Calafate because you can get there by car. You can do it, but if you are like me that wants more, explore other possibilities like Estancia Cristina to visit Upsala Glacier that you can only get there by boat throughout the Argentina lake.
If you do the Perito Moreno, do the...

although i've seen photos and videos of the glacier it still "shock'n'awe"ed me when i actually saw it. the shades of blue you see on the ice is truely amazing!
the boat ride was fantastic, which allowed you to get "up and close" to the glacier from the water of the left side. the stair ways provide you views from...
