The reserve is well kept with a nice trail around the two lakes. It was very peaceful when I was there, plenty of opportunity to see lots of different birds.

This is a nature reserve close to El Calafate and alongside Lake Argentina. It was a comfortable walk around the reserve, with many opportunities to see unique birds and plants. We took a number of great pictures and would highly recommend a visit here.

Very easy to walk to from the centre of El Calafate. There are beautiful views of the lake, and we saw many birds, including flamingos. The paths are clearly marked & easy to walk, and there are lots of signs that tell you names of the birds. It can be windy, so dress warm, and I would recommend binoculars.

We spent a few hours here - about a 10 minute walk (or so) from the center of town. Nice bird specimens and quite a relaxing time. Well worth a side trip!

As the place is not consider as a main attraction for tourist in El Calafate, we didn't expected so much, but we were surprise to find a great maintenance place with many kinds of birds. the flamingos were not the main attraction.

This was a perfect setting for a nice walk and bird watching on a cool afternoon in El Calafate. It is a short walk from the main avenue. I can't remember the exact entrance fee now (My husband and I visited last month and I have already forgotten) but I remember we got a great discount as it was a... More

Even thou it is close to the town, the reserve is super quite and you can really enjoy a nice walk by the lagoon side while watching some birds (including austral flamingos). The total distance is around 3 KM, and it's really worth doing it if you have 1.5 hours extra in El Calafate without any booked activity

we were disappointed at the amount of birds but it was a nice stroll and a good thing to support. We heard that there are many more flamingoes at other times of the year and although we did see some they were too far away to photograph

Visited in the late afternoon. Light was great and the birdlife prolific. Got shots of flamingos, and lots of other bird life. Well worth the time just to explore and be part of the landscape.

Relaxing stroll. There were many birds. Beautiful scenery. I loved all the different bird calls. There was a bathroom before you start. My shoe got a little muddy walking through the lagoon. They had an English self guilded tour brochure that was interesting and helpful. It took us about 2 hours because we walked slowly admiring the birds and beauty.... More
