Situated quitely on the side of the main street and the lakes to the other side looking at the Andes in the distance, one cannot help but feel drawn in by the surrounds. I sat on a large rock inthe car park for what seems an eternity just gazing across the lake as tyhe mists and fog slowly hid the... More

We always visit the main church of the city where we stay, and the Catedral de San Carlos de Bariloche is worth a short visit. The inside is well preserved and in nice conditions. Go there to get at grip of the development of the area.

Beautiful location to take pictures across the lake. Interior inner walls unfinished due to political difference with the builder and the ruling leaders or party at the time.

Lovely cathedral but could only see the outside as it was shut in the early afternoon. Maybe one can ask at the Civic Centre the opining times

The church sits on a plaza overlooking Nahuel Huapi Lake. It's construction started in the 1920s, and, even though the exterior is completed, the inside are still being covered in stone.

Downtown Bariloche is not as beautiful as it should and could be, but this cathedral stands out. It's small but it's style is modern and traditional at the same time and the lake and mountains nearby complete the picture.

I hiked to the top of Cerro Catedral, really nice hike with extremely rewarding views once on top. Highly recommended.

The cathedral sits on an imposing site near the magnificent lake and can be seen all over town. Beautiful stained glass windows contrast with exposed concrete structural members and stone to give a unique look. Definitely worth a visit.
