Was very windy when I was there, so didn´t get around much. Beautiful area with a nice pub to have some lunch in.

This lake is much smaller than the primary one in Bariloche, but is just as pretty. Arrange for a kayak group and enjoy the lake from the center too.

rocky beach = not the most comfortable, but the stunning view and clear water are definitely worth it! warmer than other lakes near Bariloche because this one is considerably smaller. easy to access via public bus. If you can't see the bottom, its more than 10meters deep!

On a sunny January Sunday, our group headed to Lago Gutierrez. The pebbly beach is narrow, but the water isn't as chilly as Lago Nahuel Huapi, for ex. We rented Canadian kayaks and even managed to dive. No food around, so bring your own lunch.

It's near the town center, pavimented road. Enter the national park and walk along the ways, at least up to Cascada de los Duendes. You'll love it.

The lake was a beautiful place to go on what was a bright morning followed by awful, rainy afternoon. Take the 50 bus from town to the end and get off at the lake where most people get off. Walk two kilometres along the lake and you can then go and see the waterfalls and also climb the hill to... More

Take the no.50 or 51 service bus from Moreno to Lago Gutierrez (a return ticket costs 14 pesos from the cabin beside the bus stop) The journey takes approximately 20 minutes. The bus drops you at the edge of the lake, there is a shop that sells provisions and take away coffee. Walk along the road towards the camp site... More

We got the #50 bus here, and took a picnic lunch. We picked up two local dogs for the walk who obviously decided we were their people for the day, and we walked to a waterfall and to a lookout over the lake. Top day!
