This is best seen by a car as you can stop at any time to take pictures and enjoy the beautiful nature. It takes some time to do the trip (we drove from Bariloche and back in a day). We did a round trip and were happy we did it as it was recommenden we go back the same way... More

We did a tour here through zigzag. The tour guide was great and the views were beautiful but we warned that it is a lot of time in the bus

We did the tour from San Martin and ending it in Bariloche by private mini tour bus. Sitting somewhat higher and not having to watch the traffic was wonderful. Just sit, look and enjoy the ride. Beautiful lakes, crystal clear water and nice mountains did the trick. At the end of the tour near Bariloche we had for the first... More

We rented a car and drove the entire 7 lakes route in a day. The entire route is now paved and not at all dangerous or challenging to drive. The views of lakes and pine forests are beautiful. Be aware that some guidebooks say it is a "2-3 hours drive," but that is 1 way and it is not a... More

We rented a car with an other couple we met in Bariloche. It is great to do de drive by yourself. Our first plan was to hitchhike, but there are a lot of hitchhikers along the road. (Think about groups of 10 people in one spot and 20 meters later again a few people) we had an amazing time. Stops... More

This is really a nice route trip. Road conditions are good and you have some very nice viewpoints. At the finish of the trip you arrive to colorfull town San Martin. Very recomended.

The route is wonderful, although we have been unlucky to have medium weather. Make sure you check before going. Also if you come from Chile account for at least 2 hours to pass boarder. The Argentinian side is particularly slow

This is best done in your own vehicle. If you take a bus, you'll miss out on A LOT! Rent a car and spend the entire day (from early on till dusk) and take a camera with plenty of memory in the SD CARD!
