We took a trip of the 7 lakes from Bariloche to San Martin. Yellow flowers in all directions and then you see this beautiful town tucked into the end of Lake Lacar and wedged into the mountains behind. We stayed overnight in the Antares Suites (amazing) and walked the town and around the lake - just beautiful, quiet, picturesque

Just go there if you have the opportunity, walk around and savour the quiet atmosphere. Head to the beach on the lake and have a beer + ice cream

After 30 yrs I had a very nice surprise: San Martin stayed almost the same thanks to a controlled urbanization plan... Congratulation !

Friendly people, more activities than time allows you to do, great fishing (we maxed out our quota of Rainbow, Brown and Fontinalis trouts), great food at local spots. No big (or small) fast food joints in this town!

This is one of the most magical little towns on earth. It sits on a lake and is surrounded by a huge national park. The people are wonderful and the food is great! It is such a special and a charming place!!!

Great place for fun, with plenty of hiking, biking and skiing. Too many wonderful restaurants to list, serving up rosehip soup, quinoa and artesian beer. Beautiful architecture, enchanting forests, and rivers close enough to enjoy. The best thing about San Martin is getting there from Chile, via dirt roads and a lovely ferry ride through the Andes. Now, if I can... More

One of the most beautiful cities of Patagonia a city with a variety of accommodation available, very clean with wide streets and beautiful Patagonian architecture with beautiful wide open fairways woods surrounded by hills covered with natural forests. There are a lot of restaurants serving international and regional food, prices are internationally value.

This is a cute town with many things to do, a lot of restaurants and many friendly people. There are many places where you can stay, it depends of your budget. Also in winter the is a ski mountain.

We traveled by car from Villa la angostura to San Martin to ski. We stayed shortly in town but it was pleasant to see the nice houses and restaurants. The city is cute and the view on the road is amazing.
