Nick + Co are extremely helpful and informative with very good local knowledge of the area. We visited Tilcara, Salinas Grandes and Cafayate.

Found Poncho Tours on-line and had an excellent response to our questions and requests. In the end, my wife, son and I chose the 3 day tour. Nick gave us hotel choices in places we were to stay and booked them for us. His associate, Mariano met us at Salta airport and took us to Nick's house for a quick... More

We travel a lot and Nick of Poncho Tours is without doubt the best tour guide we have had. He planned out a detailed route that was better than we anticipated and even booked and paid for hotels on our behalf when we had difficulties. Nick provided lots of information on the culture, history, geology and geography as well as the... More

This past July I got the rare chance to travel in Argentina with my college-student daughter, who had completed a tour of duty teaching in Cordoba, but had had little opportunity to see other parts of the country. Perhaps the best tactical decision made in plotting our trip together was to put ourselves in the hands of Nick and Alicia... More

Our three-day "Salt and Seven Colours Trip" with Poncho Tours was without a doubt the highlight of our 2 week trip to Argentina. Having initially planned on hiring a car and driving around the Salta region ourselves, we are immensely glad that we decided to take a guided tour with Poncho. We gained so much more from the tour than... More

Having a private guide may seem like a luxury, but it's worth every penny and more. I had a lot of fun with Nick working out our itinerary for three full days in the countryside plus a late-day tour of Salta itself. Choose Poncho because: (1) They stay flexible. Our plane was late and we were tired, but our guide... More

I was referred to Nick at Poncho tours by the hostess of our B and B in Salta as I emailed back and forth with her about what we were going to do in and around Salta. And I am so grateful for the referral. Nick was incredibly helpful and patient as we planned out our trip in the Salta... More

Nick Evans, the owner of Poncho Tours, was our private guide and driver for an 8-day journey through the region. I would say he’s worth his weight in gold, but after so much time in salt fields, it may be apropos to say he’s salt of the earth! Nick is a British expat who is a rare combination of being... More

My husband and I hesitated to use Poncho Tours because they are expensive and because we had to pay in American dollars and did not want to carry that much money with us. In retrospect, I must say that it was an excellent decision mostly because Mariano was our guide for five days. I would have expected it to be... More

In March 2014 I spent 5 days touring the Salta region with Poncho Tours. I am a woman travelling alone and am in a wheelchair, unable to walk. Right from the initial contact with Nick nothing was any bother, and all my questions were instantly answered, the communication was friendly and professional all the way through. My guide was Jed...
