It was a nice enough day out but 6 hours in total for only 1.5 hours in the saddle! I was picked up around 10am and we finally got on the horses about 12.15. The ranch is only 40 mins from Salta! The ranch is a pretty ramshackle place...I was imagining an extensive ranch not this small little building. I... More

I went on a half a day horseriding tour with "Cabalgatas Gauchas" in Salta and I really enjoyed it. Nice scenery, great BBQ, super-friendly guide... English spoken...No previous riding experience necessary.....

We enjoyed our half day horseriding much more than we anticipated. Our group was led by a boisterous gaucho who was entertaining to be around. The horses were well trained and well cared for, our hats were a little dated but everything else was fine. The scenery during the trek was beautiful and some parts of the track were quite... More

I opted to do the full day of horse riding, then stay on the ranch. This was a truly special experience, the highlight of our trip so far. The horses were really well trained, which, for an amateur horserider, was key! The guide was fantastic, speaks great english and made it a really fun trip! The scenery was beautiful, and... More

My friend and I just did a full day horse riding and stayed the night on the ranch and couldn't recommend it enough! The horse riding was the best we've ever done- half the day was up through the mountains with amazing views and the second was up mountains in the other direction with a view over Salta. We also... I was here last October. It was one of the highlights of my 3 month trip through Argentina. You can book a half day, whole day with or without staying the night. I did a whole day and stayed the night and would absolutely recommend it. If you only have half a day, book the afternoon and see the sun... More

Enjoyed a great day today with Guilleme and the team at Cabalgatas Gauchas. My husband had only ridden once before as had some of our group. Our guide was excellent, spoke great English (& German) and made the whole day really relaxing. We booked a half day with asado (BBQ) for lunch. We spent a lovely couple of hours walking... More

My boyfriend and I booked an afternoon trek with gabalgatas y gauchos back in May of this year. Guillermo (the gaucho!) picked us up from our hostel in central Salta and drove us to the finca, where we did a 2 hour mountain trek, followed by some galloping around the finca. As we were both new to horseriding we were... More

We chose the full day of riding, asado and night accomodation. We were both experienced riders and therefor got the more complicated horses. We rode on small trails in the morning in the surrounding mountains. In the end we did some lovely galopping on a meadow. After that we had a great asado and lovely Cafayate wine. In the afternoon... We booked a half-day horse trekking which we thoroughly enjoyed. We were collected from our hostel mid-morning and driven to the ranch where we were greeted by our guide, William. We were introduced to our horses and began the trek. Both my girlfriend and I are complete beginners on horseback but were put at ease and given a small amount... More
