We did a 3-day trek to Punta Corral (a religious sanctuary at ~3900m). The landscape is superb, Juan our guide was super nice, the food was good. We would walk 5-6 hours per day with the lamas We had the chance to participate in the Pachamama ceremony with some locals. We really enjoyed our tour a lot.

After rainy Buenos Aires it was such a delight to arrive in warm and sunny Tilcara. My girlfriend and I did the hike to Garganta del Diablo with Santos. Our llamas were gentle and gorgeous and carried our layers of clothing as the day got warmer and warmer and we shed off our jackets and sweater. We had a wonderful... More

It was amazing. We only had a couple of hours to spare, before going back to Salta, so although it was not listed as one of the tours they offered, Santos offered to show us around, get us acquainted with the llamas, and take a walk with llamas for an hour. We agreed, and it was wonderful! We brushed the... More

We had a brilliant afternoon walk with the llamas. You have your own llama to look after and in no time you will be the best of friends. Just watch out for when the llama's ears fold back, it gets messy. Great scenery and a Nice tea to follow

How does one top a family day that includes cute llama company, spectacular scenery and an elegant mountaintop luncheon??? Not Easily!! Juan, our guide extraordinaire, shared his extensive knowledge and obvious passion for Tilcara's beautiful rugged countryside and its history as we hiked up a mountain trail with llamas carrying packs. Once at the top, the bags were opened to... More

We did a half day trekking with a beautiful lunch (10 am to 2 pm). The route was very nice with views to the valley and the colorful mountains. The lunch on the top of the mountain was awesome! Our guide was very kind, it was a real pleasure to be hiking with him. This was the best thing we... More

Wat better way to see the spectacular countryside of the area than with a llama! We really enjoyed the day, the walk was great and the picnic lunch was fantastic. Thanks to Ivan and Santos for a very special experience.

This was the highlight of our trip to Tilcara. We went on several treks and they were all fantastic. Juan, our guide is incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the area and about the animals. Our kids and my husband and I really enjoyed having our own llamas to walk with. And what a treat it was for Juan to... More

This tour remembers a time in the past where the Llamas caravans crossed the Andes and brought food and all kinds of consumer goods to the Andean pueblos. The Llamas are very docile animals, guide the caravan is Mr. Juan who really has a great love for animals. The tour is responsible for Mr. Santos. With which kept execelente communication... More

We enjoyed this wonderful experience in and around the beautiful village of Tilcara. Our 4 hour trip with the friendly llamas was very relaxing and enjoyable. The picnic, a great selection of fresh local food and chilled wine, was superb with glorious views. The trip was very reasonably priced, and our guide, Santos, who spoke near-perfect English, was excellent and... More
