If you are seeking some family history or genealogy this is where to start because they have extensive resources. The grounds at the Temple are beautiful and relaxing. They also do a wonderful job with their Christmas lights and outside pageants.

As all LDS buildings are, it is well maintained and a beautiful and peaceful place. I think that even those who are not religious or of the LDS faith would enjoy visiting the Temple grounds and the visitor center.

The Mesa Temple is the place to be in December with beautiful lights and excellent singing groups and Christian displays honoring our saviors birth.

Visiting this LDS temple at Christmas is similar to going to Temple Square in Salt Lake City. The lights are amazing but it is WAY warmer in Arizona. We enjoyed walking through the various Bible scenes depicting the Savior's birth and loved the music and speaking. They do have concerts outside in the evening and inside the visitors center is... The light displays were fantastic and the people were very welcoming and friendly! We attended an outdoor Christmas concert and then toured the centre to view the 500 Nativity scenes from around the world. It was just awesome!

It is not Christmas in Mesa until we go to see the beautiful light display and listen to the music offerings at the Temple Visitor's centre. The hosts there are so friendly and give explanations related to the lights and the displays. Don't miss this at Christmas time!

Mormon history is so replete with dishonest and self-serving promotion that it is difficult to understand the actual facts of origins and continuing purpose. Visit if you like superficial explanations of LDS doctrine and belief. If you are opposed to racism, misogyny, homophobia, and biblical confusion, avoid.

The Christmas lights and decorations were up. There were early evening concerts daily, super friendly tour guides. Inside was a large room full of Christmas scenes from around the world, all hand-crafted. Very warm feelings were present here.

We did this on a beautiful night in AZ. This is absolutely the most beautiful display of lights, with camels and a manger scene and various other lights through out the grounds. We were also able to view Nativity scenes from around the country inside the Temple. It's a must see if you are in the Mesa area for Christmas.
