We took a spring break trip to Phoenix and decided to do some horseback riding. We picked Saguaro lake Ranch Stables and we are so glad we did! Ron was our guide, and he was great, pointing out local plants and scenery and telling us about the Saguaro Lake and dam. My husband rode Doobie, I rode Andelae and our... More

My husband and I went on the one hour trail ride yesterday with Ron and Caleb as our wranglers. We would have preferred a two hour ride, but the two hour was already sold out. That's OK, it just gives us another reason to return next season! We LOVED our horseback ride today--the weather was perfect, the scenery was breathtaking,... More

Wow! If there's a heaven on earth this must be the place! My good friend Britta brought me to this place and we spent a weekend there. We went horseback riding, hiking, swimming in the pool, eating delicious food and had such a good time! The owners and employees are so warm, friendly and welcoming! To sit in the evening... More

We were visiting family in the Phoenix area and they suggested we go horseback riding at Saguero ranch. I had not been on a horse for over 25 years, and my 4 boys had only ridden ponies at a fair. So I planned our ride for the last day of a week-long trip. By that time we had gone to... More

This trail ride is absolutely wonderful . The Cowboys were friendly and fun , the horses well behaved and sure- footed and the views were amazing ! My husband and I took the 1 1/2 hour ride and enjoyed every minute of it . You cross the river climb up and down the trail while all around you is amazing... More

Took a 1 1/2 hour trail ride in the desert. A beautiful view of the lake and desert. The ranch staff are really patient and helpful for those people who are not used to horses. The horses are well cared for and healthy by loving staff and a vet.

I took the one hour trail ride at 8 in the morning. It was a lovely ride for people who don't ride much - an hour was a perfect amount of time to spend on a horse. The trail crossed a stream and wound up through the desert into the mountain where we had beautiful views of a big lake... More

Having never been on a horse, it was something I wanted to try while visiting Arizona. I found a few places online, but this one stood out because of the background of the owners (rodeo clown and large animal Veterinarian). I'm a tree-hugger type, and care about animal welfare so it was important that the horses be well cared for... More

My daughter found an excellent rating for Saguaro Lake Stables online, so we decided to give it a try. It was about a 45 minute drive from Scottsdale. The drive was easy and the nearby Tonto National Forest was beautiful. We took the two hour trailride and it was gorgeous! The lake view and desert were amazing. Excellent and the... More

Visited the Ranch in early December with my wife for a two hour ride. Although we have not been riding before Ron and Adriana were very helpful in making sure we feel comfortable and won't hurt after the ride. I highly suggest the two hour ride as we got to experience the desert, lake, plants and Ron's incredible knowledge of... More
