Taking my husband and son on their first horseback ride ever was a little nerve wracking but the staff and horses were exceptionally prepared. We chose the 90 minute ride and we're thrilled with the walk thru the Salt River and the vistas at the top. The staff were very attentive and had lots of strategies for the first time... More

OMG they are the friendliest group of people I've ever met. Justin was our tour guide and he was awesome very knowledgeable about the terrain. That was the best ride I have ever been on. Debbie and Tom were very helpful in telling us how to hold the reins and how to steer the horse. If you ever want to... More

If you want to connect with nature and be awed by the rugged natural beauty while horseback riding along the river then this is the attraction for you! This was the most excellent and awe inspiring place! Everything that was mentioned as available was true and even better! The views here are spectacular, my favorites here in Arizona. I live in the area and have traveled the state extensively, this is the place to see on horseback. My brother came to visit from Georgia and used to own... More

We've had some experience trail riding in the Pheonix area, but never like this. The views along the Saguaro Lake trail are serene and breathtaking, the horses easygoing and quite manageable, and the staff extremely helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable. It was definitely a fantastic experience made even more memorable by the exceptional people of High Mountain Trails.

Weve been several times and each one is a wonderful getaway! Pretty easy to find, off the Bush hiway. You can elect for a two or four hour float; gear is "sit on", not "sit in". Depending on the time of the year and the lake release, the water is faster than others. We've never been when we didn't see... More

We saw an ad for Saguaro Lake Ranch in a freebie magazine at our hotel. John and Shawna-Lee were working on the day and were fabulous hosts. John's explanation of the trip was thorough and the little Map was the perfect touch. We all had a great time, despite a tip out early on in the jouney!! I hear you... More

We took a spring break trip to Phoenix and decided to do some horseback riding. We picked Saguaro lake Ranch Stables and we are so glad we did! Ron was our guide, and he was great, pointing out local plants and scenery and telling us about the Saguaro Lake and dam. My husband rode Doobie, I rode Andelae and our... More

My husband and I went on the one hour trail ride yesterday with Ron and Caleb as our wranglers. We would have preferred a two hour ride, but the two hour was already sold out. That's OK, it just gives us another reason to return next season! We LOVED our horseback ride today--the weather was perfect, the scenery was breathtaking,... More

Wow! If there's a heaven on earth this must be the place! My good friend Britta brought me to this place and we spent a weekend there. We went horseback riding, hiking, swimming in the pool, eating delicious food and had such a good time! The owners and employees are so warm, friendly and welcoming! To sit in the evening... More
