i was recovering from a hip replacement and in need of diversion. I don't think that my husband expected to enjoy himself as much as he did. People were so friendly, both fellow sightseers and crew! We laughed, learned and shared a delightful ninety minutes together. It's a chance to be outside and in nature without hiking. We ate at... More

A pleasant ride with nice scenery. Today we saw a couple of Bald Eagles and had great views of four mountain sheep. The captain did a great job of explaining the history of the area as well as providing current information. I'd say to any visitor, "Add this to your itinerary." (We always take our first-time out-of-state visitors on this... More

Really enjoyed the 90 minute cruise! The crew members were all so warm and friendly taking lots of pictures for us and the captain's presentation was very interesting and informative. We were lucky enough to see 2 eagles along the way that he pointed out to us high up in the cliffs and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. Very relaxing,... More

We went on a trip on the Desert Belle and thoroughly enjoyed it! The ambient temperature was 105+, but on the trip it was very pleasant. The lake is a busy place with boaters, kayakers, etc., but the boat trip is pleasant. The tour is on Saguaro Lake in Mesa (in Tonto National Forest). The trip is 1 1/2 hours... More

This sounded like a great activity & we planned on a special day for weeks ahead. Reservations were made long in advance and we called the same morning to confirm. After a 1 hour drive on a lovely sunny morning, we arrived at the marina, boarded the boat, and were informed that there might be summer storm that afternoon and... More

We had fun before the tour started because we bought some bags of duck food at the harbour restaurant. Soon we shared our bags with a kid and an elderly lady on the open deck which added to the fun we had. When the boat took off it was cold and clouded, most people went inside but we stayed outside... We took the 90 minute narration cruise on the 4th of July weekend. We found a TravelZoo deal $30 for 2 people, regular price is $20 each. There's also an option to get the premium package for $25 each, which includes priority boarding on the boat, free drink and popcorn. They have a bar where you can buy select alcoholic... More

We took the 90 minute Naration Cruise at $20 each, and it was fantastic. There is also the Premium ticket which gives priority boarding, a drink and popcorn at $25 each. The Captain of the boat gave us information on the history, geology and wild life of the lake. A very knowledgable gentleman with a pleasant, easy manner. We we're... More

What a great introduction to some of the Sonoran Desert. Lake Saguaro was beautiful. Spend the extra $5 for the preferred ticket. It includes your choice of drink and a box of popcorn. Captain Mike was so much fun! He has been doing this tour for many years; and, yet, his presentation didn't sound "canned," it was fresh and informative.... More

Just completed a beautiful Arizona day at Saguaro Lake, enjoying the 107F day while relaxing with a great open roof deck. A nice breeze kept us from being too uncomfortable and the "roof" top provided the shade. It was a 90 min narrative adventure with good informative commentary without being too cheesy. In between highlights, our captain provided us with... More
