We played Dobson Ranch in the early afternoon on a Sunday. The rate was very reasonable compared to some of the resort courses in the area. The course was in good condition and it was an enjoyable round of golf. The course jammed up at a few points, but we never waited more than 5 minutes. The whole round took... More

We played this course on February 20, 2015. The Pro Shop was friendly and professional. The golf course itself was in good condition. I do have one very major complaint, however. The Marshall on hole #3 approached us to play at pace which we were doing. In fact, we were waiting for the group in front of us to finish.... More

There is good and bad at Dobson Ranch. The good includes generally good fairways; the price which, on weekdays, is $49 (with a cart) or $34 (walking)- $52 and $37 on weekends; the practice range (lots of white range balls 'leak' onto #10 so use a coloured ball if you have one). The bad? There are no yardage books or... More

Had a afternoon so dropped in for a round. Course is in great shape for winter with only a few greens bumpy. they were fast enough to be testy. nice layout and lots of challenges.

No dislikes. Liked the price, the ease of getting a tee time, the carts, to big for this old boy to walk, the food, and of course, the service from everybody we meet. The last item can make up for a lot of minor quibbles.

Dobson Ranch is a most enjoyable course if you can get past the pro shop attitude. The course is generally in good condition . However 5 hour rounds are not uncommon.

Second time we've played this course. For a public facility, it has been in resort condition both times we played it. Course was in great shape. No complaints. Played 18 holes in about 4 hours. Great bargain, too, compared to prices of surrounding resort courses. We played on a weekday, so weekend crowds on the course were avoided.

Yes its public but don't let it fool you. The course has a pretty good layout and is usually kept in great condition. It can get pretty crowded during the winter with all of the snowbirds down here but most of the more reasonably priced courses in AZ do too. The regulars are pretty nice and while the restaurant isn't... More

I was back at Dobson Ranch this week and it continues to impress how good a public facility can be at a very reasonable price. Dobson Ranch is a traditional golf layout with lots of trees and small greens which are always in very good condition. The price is the best value in the Phoenix area where you can easily... More

Dobson Ranch is a public golf course and the primary attraction is the relatively moderate green fees. Unfortunately, trying to book a tee time is literally impossible even though they accept tee times fourteen days in advance. They push groups out every seven minutes and you can count on a very slow game - three hours per nine holes. I... More
