ClimbPHX.com has used this company a couple times to raft the Salt - every time was a great adventure! They hire guides that truly love their wild life and it shows. The first time the water levels were higher - The CFS was low the last time and the trip this year was cancelled due to low water ... No... More

The views were awesome and the guides were pretty good. The trip overall was good and would like to do something like that again. When making reservations they don't tell you until they are getting ready to charge you there is a 20 dollar per person Navajo fee, then after you book they tell you if you enjoy your guide... More

Thank you for the constructive criticism. Due to feedback such as yours we are more transparent about the $20.00 Apache fee. We now include this fee in our advertised price. The fee goes directly to the White Mountain Apache Tribe for use of their land. The ability to raft the Upper Salt River Canyon is a unique privilege and we... More

Wilderness Aware has the most professional experienced guides. We took a three day raft trip down the Salt River between Show Low and Globe Arizona. It is a 2 hour drive from Phoeinx to the put in, 45 minutes from Globe or Show Low. We are from Colorado, took four teenagers and two couples. the largest group allowed to camp... More

The canyon is absolutely beautiful and while the water is frigid, by the time the afternoon sun hits you, it is a welcome cooling off! Wilderness Aware is well equipped with wetsuits and the gear was all in good shape. The fajita lunch was tasty and prepared very quickly. My one complaint is the amount of down time on the... More

I went on a Browns Canyon trip with Wilderness Aware and it was a fantastic day of fun. The guides were professional, knowledgeable and really made the trip for us. Lunch was good and there was plenty of it. The headquarters building is impressive and Wilderness Aware has also made a commitment to minimizing their environmental impact, installing their own... I am a principal for a small, independent middle school in Denver. For the past 7 years our school has brought 40+ seventh graders to the Buena Vista area in the spring time to raft the Browns Canyon section of the Arkansas River. We have trusted Wilderness Aware to lead our students down the river since the inception of our... More

Can hardly wait to get on the river again with you guys next year!!! We used Wilderness Aware Rafting - great company! I even like their website name: www.inaraft.com. Check them out -... More

The guides were excellent. The ride was scenic but not as wild as i expected...not their fault that the snow melted early this past season. The lunch was great. All in all, a terriffic experience. More
