Surprisingly, Mendoza city centre has not even a handful of tasting rooms! This one is not to be missed. The hospitality is exceptional in this recently renovated house. The tasting experience starts off with welcome drinks, a tour of the house and kitchen where the empanadas are made. Great consideration has been given to the pairing of the food with... More

Fantastic! Couldn't recommend more highly. Only made better by a great group of people. Empanadas were divine and perfectly paired with the wine. Gorgeous setting with some beautiful art on display. Thanks for an awesome night guys xx

We were very fortunate to have friends traveling to Mendoza at the same time as us who had heard about Taninas. We had a fantastic food and wine while we watched the Mendoza Wine Festival parade from a shaded comfortable balcony. It was such a great time we made a return visit and are in the process of buying a... More

Amphora Wine Tours made an addition to their offering January 2015: one night wine tastings paired with house made regional empanadas. We discovered this new offering researching wine tours on their website and are so happy we did! Tastings are Sunday and Thursday from 5:30 to roughly 8:30 pm. We rolled into town Saturday, found this and sent a message.... More

I did the empanadas and wine tasting in early February, and it was great. The wines they selected were interesting and different (and delicious), the empanadas were really tasty, the building was beautiful and full of interesting local art. I would definitely recommend them. Especially if you are a solo traveler, like I was--it was an easy and nice way... More

We had a wonderful time! The place is so nice, a charming antique and cozy building. An amazing opportunity to learn a bit about argentinian wines and empanadas with the very pleasent and friendly Ornella & Luli. Its a must do in Mendoza!

We attended a wine tasting in February at Taninas. There were about 6 wines and matching empanadas, made by the delightful and talented Lucia. Also hosting was Ornela Tosi. There were 7 of us, my husband and I, and 5 interesting Americans. The wines were very high quality Mendozan wines, the empanadas very good and the company delightful. The wine... More

I was impressed by our wine tour to the Uco Valley sponsored by Ampora Wine Tours. Thus, when I heard about this tasting, I thought that it would be a pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon. (Sundays are particularly quiet in Mendoza, but being a holiday weekend, the city was particularly dead.). The tastings were complimented with empanadas from... More

Hosted by Ampora Wine Tours ( we did two wine tours as well) our 5 course Empanadas & wine tasting was wonderful. It was educational to hear about the craft and old recipes for making the delicious meat pies. The owner of the your group opened up his house for the evening wine tastings. It had undergone a restoration so... More

The tasting itself is not something special but when you put together with the opportunity of meeting people from all over the world and at the same time learning a bit more of argentinian wine it turns amazing.
