A great example of the importance of the church to this city. A shame that the artwork is so dingy and dark from all of the smog in the city. The place needs a good cleaning. Otherwise, it is a must see. Great to get away from the crowds and relax and take it all in.

The cathedral here is on a very nice plaza. The historic buildings here have a neat reflection painted ot tiled on the ground out fron that gives a neat perspective.

The Cathedral of Cordoba is very majestic, beautiful, and well worth a visit if you are staying over night in this city. Cordoba is probably the most historic city of Argentina, dating from the 17th century Spanish colonial period. The cathedral is an important sight for anyone interested in the art and history of this country. Highly recommended.

Beautiful church! My husband and I got married there 18 years ago. If you like the majestic exterior wait until you see the interior. You will be able to see moldings not only made out of wood but also gold..The main altar is phenomenal. This place is a must if you are visiting Cordoba.

Beautiful old building in the centre of Cordoba. You can learn more about the history of argentina and Cordoba and see the beautiful architecture and designs of the church.

This is a rather old building with a strange architecture: very old feeling but somehow it feels baroque and not so old. I got married there a few years back (something like 30 years ago) by the same priest who married my parents. A very very traditional place in Cordoba. You may want to show up on a Saturday around... Built for more than 100 years, starting in the year 1580, this beautiful petit Cathedral its one of the main exponent of the colonial era of the state. A well maintain facade with lots of colonial baroque and renaissance elements, its beautifully illuminated during the nights and offer a great interior. Lots to admire inside in one of the most... Very interesting from a historical perspective. Construction began in the 1530s and continued apparently for some 200 years. The cathedral itself is in a good state of repair, but if you're looking for something that is going to blow you away, this is not it. Worth seeing if you're in Córdoba and enjoy history or churches, but otherwise would not... More
