Rojo tango fulfilled my expectations about what a tango dinner & show should be. The location, inside the Faena Hotel is impressive & easy to reach. It makes for a grand entrance. The venue itself is intimate & sexy and gives you the chance to enjoy the show from any seat, as the show takes over the whole room. The... More

We went on a Sunday night in low season. The hotel is stunning, the service spot on and the show blew our minds. With only 16 people compared to about 80 who would fill the place, the cast performed at 100%. We loved it. The only let down was the food. It didn't match the environment, the service or do... We spent the last night of our trip at Rojo Tango, after reading the reviews and seeing a couple of tango "show" i had high expectations...Rojo DELIVERED! The room is small and enveloping making you feel like you are in a tango hall "back in the day" like your a part of the show. Dinner was good and the sparkling... More

This is the second time we have visited Tango Rojo in Buenos Aires and this time, was just as impressive as the last. The venue is small, atmospheric and intimate and totally realistic and all the Argentine tango dancers ŵere superb. We haven't seen better tango anywhere in the world. This is the real McCoy.

The entire experience was first class from the moment we were collected in a limousine through to a high quality 3-course dinner and then the Tango show itself. Don't go if money is an object because you will forever be complaining about the price. Rather, consider it a once in a while experience having travelled this far already and sit... More

It's $300 a ticket. Yep, US$! And if you think about what you could get for that money you will enjoy the show less. It is outrageously priced. But the money aside, the meal was pleasant, if too heavy for my taste. And the show was glorious - this is intimate tango cabaret style, top notch dancing, eye-popping costumes and... More

This Tango show was absolutely exquisite, It had a cabaret style atmosphere. It's small and intimate, not overly crowded or auditorium style show. They not only danced, but there was solo singers (reminded me of Torch singing), and they had a fabulous instrumental ensemble. The service and attention to the patrons were on point! The only reason I didn't give... More

Tango was a must for me in BA. We went to a milonga (dance halls where the locals go to Tango) to see the locals dancing, we didn't join in but you should if you've had a tango lesson before you go. We went to one at the Confiteria Ideal at 384 Suipacha. You can stay in a couple, or... More

We loved our vacation in Argentina. Our hotel, the Casa Calma was wonderful, the people we met all over Buenos Aires were all very friendly and helpful. Our experience at the Rojo Tango show was a terrible exception. A very terrible exception. We arrived with another couple who we were traveling with. Our travel agent had booked what I thought... Fabulous tango show, the best in Buenos Aires. Small intimate setting and stage. The dancers, the music, the costumes are fantastic. The tango show is sexully charged and energetic, I sat on the edge of my chair and loved every minute of this 1.5 hour show. You don't have to eat dinner there unless you want to ( it is... More

Staying in Puerto Madero

Neighborhood Profile
Puerto Madero
From its refurbished red brick buildings and port cranes to its modern skyscrapers and luxurious apartment buildings, Puerto Madero is the perfect combination of old and new. The river provides a quiet, relaxing atmosphere that contrasts with the hustle and bustle of heavy traffic just blocks away. Across the river, flanked by skyscrapers, are beautiful parks and quiet streets that make this neighborhood a unique destination in a city as busy as Buenos Aires. The restaurants, bars, and nightclubs on the docks make it a prime spot for nights out and have come to symbolize this area. Puerto Madero is even more striking after dark, when the lights from the docks and skyscrapers glow against the night sky.
