We stayed in Palermo Hollywood while we were in Buenos Aires. It seemed a quiet oasis to come back to after spending the day in the city center. There are lots of nice restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops and bit of an upscale vibe. There is plenty of nightlife and fun to be had. More

I lived in this wonderful neighborhood for a month. The people are fantastic - there are plenty of restaurants, bars and shopping nearby. The Subte is just blocks away, just about every bus runs through here and it's in the middle of everything - Recoleta, Belgrano, Caballito and the other Palermos are all nearby. More

It is so central to everywhere - the Subte (metro/Underground) is nearby to take you around BA, the neighbourhood is safe (ignore the graffiti, it seems to be everywhere in BA), and it is full of bars and restaurants.
