Impressively wide, and maybe a bigger challenge to cross than a river. Stop at the midway section to appreciate the avenue - it's really enormous.

The widest avenue in the world. You must come and see for yourself and better yet; rent a car and drive through the avenue! It is an experience you will always remember. The avenue is wide there are two traffic lights just to control traffic going in the same direction. Pedestrians have to stop midway at a platform. It is...

This is an impressive wide street. During weekdays it is not so impressive, there are too many vehicles moving around. But, over weekends with the streets more empty you really get the idea of just how wide this street is. When it is quieter over weekends you can also better appreciate the obelisks and gardens in thee middle of the...

9 Julio is a real challenge to cross even with traffic lights. There are so many lanes used by motorists as raceways. It is virtually impossible to cross the entire avenue in one light change (unless you run).
You will no doubt come across avenida 9 de julio at some stage on your visit in Buenos Aires, but if you have time it is worthwhile taking a stroll along this magnificent avenue. Excellent!
No need to seek this road out as you'll end up on it at some point if you're in Buenos Aires for any length of time. What makes it interesting is that it touts itself as the widest avenue in the world. I'm not sure if this is true but I can see how it could be as parts of...

A good place to use to orient yourself or when the futbol team wins. Basically, this is just one massive street that takes extreme caution and patience to cross. Nothing else to add except you pass this when walking from Avenida de Mayo to the Congresso
This is pretty much just a huge road. There's not much to it at all. Most people only end up on it if they're going by taxi to get somewhere or have come to check out the obelisk. The obelisk is definitely worth visiting, but there's not much other reason to hang out on the road.
When it takes two changes of the street light to get across the road you know it is wide. And it is a place to see-and-be-seen on the weekends ir you are out for a stroll.
Was impressed by the scale of the avenue, and of course seeing Obelisco take centre stage. Was a lot of fun trying to cross in one go, but of course was impossible unless you run like a athlete! Casa rosada and other attractions are a nearby walk
