A great place to visit, with great theater, little stores with beautiful knicknacks, and different places to eat. Everyone is having fun and in a good mood.

Paseo la Plaza is an amaizing place, quite in the afternoon and also very alive in the night. Is almost like an urban oasis, with lots of trees and little alleys, located on the very busy and noisy avenue Corrientes. Besides have many cultural options.

The venue is fantastic, great food, coolest people on Earth! Lovely plaza has many places to sit, and oh, the smell of the flowers! Still don't know what they are but they are heavenly!

Kinda yuk yuk but comedians are not carefully screened every night, so you have a really cool one on a Tuesday night and a lousy and boring a Saturday night. The other thing and most important is that ALL of the shows are 100% in Spanish with a lots of Porteño slang hard to be understood. Drinks are pricey, so... More

You must go there if you want to have a great time at Cavern Club and want to see nice people, and cultural places. I know a bunch on people that were in Buenos Aires but a few have gone there. It's a must if you enjoy local music, good restaurants and theater at the same place.. Oops, never heard... More

This is a place one comes to see out of the ordinary stand-up comedy or small-scale theater performances. There are also restaurants, like where we had dinner called Maquiavelo. The place was full and we had a pretty decent meal. the dessert was great. And since it was Friday night, we got to watch a group of young men play... More

A corner on Av. Corrientes with some theaters and restaurants, unless you are keen on seeing some show, nothing much to see here.

Staying in San Nicolas

Neighborhood Profile
San Nicolas
Immersed in the sound of honking horns and the footsteps of busy office workers, the Microcentro area of San Nicolás is where visitors will encounter the true hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires, walking down streets lined with office buildings and banks. The financial district is well-known for its vibrant atmosphere and unstoppable rhythm during office hours. After dark, the hubbub migrates to Corrientes Ave., where theater lovers might start their evening at a play and end it in one of the many traditional pizzerias nearby. During the day, Corrientes is known for its many bookshops and classic cafés, which are located just minutes away from some famous landmarks, like the Obelisco, Avenida 9 de Julio, and the Teatro Colon.
